What is Redirection in Monter Hunter Rise Sunbreak

This is quickly becoming many players' favorite Skill.

Redirection is a Skill in the Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise. It can be acquired by equipping the Lunagaron Chest and Greaves pieces of Armor or by equipping the Level 3 Decoration. Players looking to make the most out of their Switch Skills can make the most of the Skill's second Level. This is everything players need to know about the Redirection Skill in MHR Sunbreak.

How does Redirection work in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

The Redirection Skill will activate when a player performs a Switch Skill Swap before the Monster attacks. This works much like a parry and can be used even when the Monster roars. At Level 1, Redirection will reduce all damage the player receives and stops them from flinching, covering their ears, or flying backward from attacks. At Level 2, the same effect applies, but the player also Swap Evades backward and refills the Wirebug Gauge.

What Skills work with Redirection in MHR Sunbreak?

When performing a Switch Skill Swap and activating Redirection, a window will pop up to indicate that it has worked. Players using the Evade Extender Skill with a Level 2 Redirection will see a noticeable difference in how far back they evade during the Swap Evade. The Level 3 Wirebug Whisperer Skill further increases how much of the Wirebug Gauge will fill, giving players the ability to perform more Silkbind attacks even faster. Level 3 Bubbly Dance counts all evades toward its activation, meaning it pairs well with Redirection and Resuscitate.

Does Evade Window increase the window for Redirection?

Evade Window, no matter the level, does not make Redirection any easier to pull off. The window for the Switch Skill Swap is unaffected by any Skills or Dango and can feel difficult to pull off. Players can practice Redirection by going to the Training Area and performing the Switch Skill Swap whenever the training dummy comes crashing down to attack.

What weapons work best with Redirection in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak?

All Weapons work well with Redirection, but some benefit more than others. Slow weapons that don't have much mobility can especially benefit from Level 2 variant, as the Swap Evade can put distance between the player and the Monster. Weapons and their more costly Silkbind attacks that use two Wirebugs can make use of Redirection's Wirebug recovery, giving players the ability to continuously use these powerful attacks without much pause in between.
