How will you play?

MultiVersus is the Warner Bros. take on the platform fighting genre, taking inspiration from the Super Smash Bros. series. While the game incorporates many elements from Nintendo's iconic fighting game, MultiVersus also aims to stand on its own. Warner Bros. has committed to making MultiVersus have an emphasis on teamwork and cooperation. So you may be wondering what game modes it has.

MultiVersus features 2v2, 1v1, and 4-player free for all game modes. Warner Bros. has also stated that in addition to these game modes, more would be added as part of the game's ongoing updates. This emphasis on cooperative gameplay is certainly an interesting take on the platform fighting genre.

Warner Bros. has also mentioned they plan to implement guilds, events, and more, which could include unique game modes never before seen in a platform fighter. How these guilds play into matchmaking will certainly be interesting to see.

The game modes mentioned above are all different multiplayer modes that should satisfy a variety of players. They can jump online and play with friends and strangers either alone or with a team. With such a diverse cast of characters and the promise of more game modes being added, the possibilities are endless.
