While you're frantically crafting and gathering in New World to level up your skills, it can be a challenge when your inventory gets full. That's why you need to increase your inventory space as soon as possible.
Carried inventory space in New World works on weight, and to increase the amount of weight you can carry, you need bags or satchels. Bags increase your carried weight and are pretty easy to find.
You can get your first bag for free by reaching level 12 and taking on the quest "Between Innkeeps." Completing this quest will give you a reward of the Worn Traveler's Satchel, which will increase your max encumbrance weight by 50.
However, there's a bunch of bags in the game that are available. Some are craftable, while others must be obtained through questing. Below is a list of the rest of the bags, how to get them, and how much they increase your weight limit by:
- Course Leather Adventurer's Bag: Crafted, 80-180
- Rugged Leather Adventurer's Bag: Crafted, 190-240
- Gator Leather Bag: Quest Reward "Ebonscale Alligators," 255 (also reduced weight of leather and skinning knives)
- Layered Leather Adventurer's Bag: Crafted, 105-305
- Infused Leather Adventurer's Bag: Crafted, 60-360
Outside of your inventory, you can also level up your increased storage space in towns and settlements. You do this by leveling up your territory standing.
