As you play New World, you will notice that you have a reputation with town and territory. This functions as a level system, but not for your character. Instead, it is for each major territory in the game. You can increase these territory standings by completing tasks such as defeating enemies, completing quests, and crafting in that region.
You receive rewards such as currency or experience, so it is worthwhile to level these up quickly. Quests are one of the best ways to level up your territory standing. Since quests can refresh, the fastest to level up would be to target easy quests.

Some of the easiest quests require you to turn in a certain number of resources. You can even collect the resources ahead of time to turn them in once the quest refreshes. So you can quickly level up your territory standing just by collecting extra resources as you play. Keep an eye on each Town's Project Board as it will give you quests that refresh every 30 minutes in real-time.
You can view your standing with each territory from the world map. On the left side of the screen, you will see a tab titled Territory Standings. Navigate to that and select it. This will pull up your standing with each territory. You can also see which faction controls that territory by its color.
