The Outer Worlds Release Date? Leak on Steam Points to August!

If you're like me and desperately awaiting some news on when The Outer Worlds is going to release then we're in luck! For a while now we've been shown the generic "2019" which usually means LATE in 2019, and it could just as easily be pushed into 2020.

A glimmer of hope, however, has arrived in the shape of a leak on Steam. While we obviously hoped for an earlier in the year release, we were pretty much resigned to that likelihood of it being late in the year. This leak that was briefly display on the Steam page, however, showed the date as August 6th, 2019! That's much sooner than many expected, so there could be some reason to get excited.

The date was quickly changed back to the ambiguous 2019, but the history of the change still lives on Steamdb. This all doesn't necessarily mean anything, but now there's a bit of hope that the game will come out a bit sooner than expected.
