Nightingale developers understand that impairments can affect gaming, so they added options to make the gameplay more comfortable. This Nightingale Accessibility Options Guide will show all the ways to provide a better gaming experience.
All Accessibility Options in Nightingale
Similar to Skull and Bones, there's a wide array of accessibility options in Nightingale, and they range from the basic ones, like difficulty setting and autosave, to very specific ones, such as text-to-speech, Arachnophobia mode, or disabling camera shake.
General accessibility in Nightingale
There are two general accessibility options: difficulty settings and auto-save. Every time they open a new Portal, players can choose each Realm's difficulty level. The game autosaves regularly, but we still recommend you to quit the game using the menu instead of Alt + F4.
Input and Navigation accessibility in Nightingale
Players can remap the keys and use the controller to access the menus. Players can hold the button to attack or gather materials but also toggle crouch and run by pressing a button once instead of holding it. Moreover, players can adjust the sensitivity of their mouse or controller, invert the axis, and adjust the controller's dead zones. There is also an option for custom waypoints and map zoom.
Visual accessibility in Nightingale
Many players are afraid of spiders, so this game has Arachnophobia mode, which replaces all spiders and scorpions with wings.
Although Nightingale is a first-person game, you can play it in third-person mode with an over-the-shoulder camera. Players prone to motion sickness can disable camera shake, head bobbing, and motion blur. To fit the preferred display style, you can adjust the field of view and brightness.
Audio accessibility in Nightingale
You can turn the subtitles on or off for all voiced characters. There are many volume sliders so that you can make your preferred mix of sounds in the game. If heavy breathing is your trigger, the game allows you to lower the volume of characters' pants when they're tired or hurt.
Communication Accessibility in Nightingale
There are party text chat and party voice chat options, so players can communicate with their party members by typing or speaking. They can also use a limited set of emotes to articulate their feelings. An alternative option for communication is speech input. Players can also mute their party members in both voice and text chat.
