Pokecord Challenges & Secret Word Guide

Pokecord has recently added Challenges to the bot! If you complete each challenge you will get credits and a letter will be revealed from a secret word! Take a look at what we know about the current batch of challenges, and what the secret word means!

Pokecord Challenges List

Here's a list of the currently available challenges. One was revealed everyday leading up to July 26th. You receive 250 credits as a reward for completing each one and a letter was revealed from the secret word. Be sure to use our Pokecord Commands Guides to help you finish these challenges.

1. Catch a Pidgey, Bidoof, Rattata or Caterpie.
2. Buy a Rare Candy.
3. Win a duel.
4. Catch 10 pokémon.
5. Buy 3 pokémon from the market.
6. Release 3 pokémon.
7. Complete a trade.

Catch a Pidgey, Bidoof, Rattata or Caterpie.

This is actually probably the hardest challenge. While these are pretty frequent Pokemon spawned, if you aren't fast on the draw or have a server that you can compete on it's going to be difficult to actually grab one of these. If you aren't a fast typist or are on mobile, try to find a low population server that gets a steady flow of chatting!

Buy a Rare Candy.

Now we're talking, this is an easy one. All you need to do is use the p!buy candy <amount> command and you can purchase candy. Keep in mind, that whatever Pokemon you have selected will receive the candy and get a level up. Each Rare Candy costs 75 credits.

Win a Duel

Find a friend or anyone willing to duel, and defeat them or beg them to let you defeat them.

Catch 10 Pokemon

This is another one that could be a bit difficult. If you are struggling with the catching, be sure to look for a low population server that gets some spawns.

Buy 3 Pokemon From the Market

If you want to be super cheap about this, I would use this command: "p!market search --showiv --order iv d --price 1". This will show you all the Pokemon that are listed at 1 credit and sorted by the highest IVs. Purchase three of them and then you can use these for your next challenge.

Release 3 Pokemon

You'll want to use p!pokemon and find your weakest and least rare Pokemon, or you can just use the ones that you bought from the market. Then use the p!release <Pokemon Number> command and release three of your precious pokes.

Complete a Trade

Find a friend and trade them a Pokemon! You can also check out the main trading hubs in the official discord of the bot. Trading has some unique commands, so check out our commands guide to learn more about them.

If you want to figure out the secret word yourself then don't scroll any further!

Secret Word

Each time you complete a challenge you get a letter added to the secret word. The secret word is an anagram, and you need to de-scramble it to complete the challenges. Once you've completed all of the challenges, you can enter it in with p!challenges <Solved Secret Word> and you will receive 5,000 credits!

Here are the letters you are given if you complete all the challenges:

Rearrange those letters into a word that is closely associated with Pokemon and you will have your answer.

If you can't figure it out and just want the answer then here's the solved word: shinies. What does this mean? Well, it looks like shinies will be added to the Pokecord bot. What are shinies? They are alternatively colored Pokemon, different from their standard color. They are highly sought after in-game, and are very rare and time consuming to catch. It will be likely that they are also extremely rare in Pokecord, so keep an eye out for these unique pokes.
