Best Dark Type Pals in Palworld – Dark Pal Tier List

If you are struggling to catch any neutral-type Pals in Palworld, you must start collecting dark-type pals, as they are the direct counter to it. While there are many dark pals, some are better than others regarding attack and defense ratings. So, here is a tier list featuring the best dark-type pals in Palworld.

Best Dark Type Pals in Palworld

S-Tier

The S-Tier Pals are the best in the game, and you must capture every one of them if you want to defeat all the end-game Pals.

• Shadowbeak: The best dark Pal in the entire game is Shadowbeak (663, 628). It has insane damage numbers and can dish out both AOE/direct attacks. Also, it is the second fastest mount, helping you cover long distances and reposition while fighting. So, try to add Shadowbeak to your party as early as possible.
• Astegon: Astegon (-576, 421) is another dark Pal that should be at your party. It has a large HP pool and can deal tons of damage within seconds. Apart from the barrage of attacks, it is one of the few pals with a level 4 mining skill, making it efficient as a worker for your mining farms.

A-Tier

All the Pals in the A-tier are pretty good but not as efficient as the ones in the S-tier.

• Frostallion Noct: Frostallion Noct (355, 506) is also an excellent Pal with awesome features. Firstly, they have a passive perk that changes the player's attack type into the dark and enhances all dark attacks while mounted. In addition to these, it also has level 4 gathering, scaling all your food collection processes at the base.
• Menasting: Menasting (493,81)  is one of those Dark Pals that does an excellent job as a worker due to its high skill rating in lumbering and mining. It even has a passive perk called Steel Scorpion that increases the defense stat of the player during combat. 

B-Tier

B-Tier Pals are ideally suitable for players who are between level 15 to level 30. So, if you are within the prescribed range, target these Pals.

• Incineram: Incineram (204, -525) is a decent mid-level Pal that excels in various fields like kindling, handiwork, transporting, and mining. Even in battle, Incineram is lethal in bringing down every Pals above level 10 due to its fire/dark attacks that directly target the individual.
• Tombat: Tombat is a pretty effective Pal that helps you to discover other Pals in dungeons and other hidden areas using its ultrasonic sensor that scans all the living forms in the area. Also, Tombat is effective in gathering, mining, and transporting items. You can find Tombat anywhere on the central part of the island.

C-Tier

Most of the pals under this tier are not that effective. Still, it can be effective against other pals at the initial stage of your campaign.

• Vanwyrm: Vanwyrm(-115, -416)  has a unique passive perk that helps players scale their damage while attacking an opponent while being mounted. The other major highlight of Vanwyrm is that it is a fast mount that is easy to control.
• Loupmoon: Loupmoon is a fantastic handiwork Pal that is also effective in combat due to its quick attack that mainly revolves around physical attacks like clawing or chewing. Loupmoon drops Bones, too, which you'll need for crafting other vital materials like Cement. You can find Loupmoon on the Western and North Western parts of the map.
