Best Water Type Pals to Capture in Palworld

Jormuntide

Location: On the map coordinates (350 , -84)

Jormuntide is among the most iconic Pals in Palworld. Two of its most notable moves are the Hydro Laser and Aqua Burst, instantly demolishing anyone who stands in its way. Jormuntide is also a decent mount due to the stamina depletion passive it has while traveling through water.

To catch Jormuntide, you must be at least level 45 with an assault rifle. Make sure to lure it near the land as you can't outswim nor outfly the menacing water dragon. I recommend getting your strongest Electric Type Pals for your showdown with Jormuntide.

Azurobe

Location: On the Wildlife Sanctuary No. 1, map coordinates (92, -709) or Alpha Boss at map coordinates (-53, -387)

Another Water-Dragon Type in the list is Azurobe. Azurobe is arguably one of the best swimming mounts you can get in the game, while remaining a decent Combat or Base Pal. Bubble Blast Defense is its most potent move, with an attack power of 65.

To beat Azurobe, you need to have at least an Electric or Ice Type Pal. I recommend using Penking if you have one, as its attacks can interrupt Azurobe while channeling its spells. You can also use an Electric Type Pal like Grizzbolt, or even Orserk to nullify Azurobe's attacks.

Suzaku Aqua

Location: N/A, can only be acquired through breeding Suzaku with Jormuntide

Suzaku Aqua is not your typical Water Type Pal; you can only obtain it through breeding. Wings of Water elevates Suzaku Aqua to the next level, enhancing your attacks and transforming them into Water-based while mounted. This passive allows you to "rain down" on your fiery opponents while staying relatively safe in the air.

Penking

Location: On the Wildlife Sanctuary No. 1, map coordinates (92, -709) or Alpha Boss at map coordinates (113. -351)

Penking is one of the best workers you can get in Palworld. With five different working suitability skills (all level 2), it's arguably second to none in being the true workhorse for your base. Although, you do have to feed it a lot most of the time, it rewards you through mining, cooling, watering, transporting, and handiwork tasks.

Broncherry Aqua

Location: Underground Entrance to Mineshaft at -143, -436. Broncherry Aqua is at -166, -448 inside the Mineshaft.

Broncherry Aqua is a decent Base worker for the midgame in Palworld. It has level 3 transportation and watering, making it a very useful addition if you have a giant farm in your base. With its passive skill Overaffectionate, you can mount Broncherry Aqua and it will even help carry extra supplies, making it an ideal companion when gathering resources for your base.

Relaxaurus

Location: Relaxaurus is near the vicinity of the Ascetic Falls Fast Travel Point (-224, -442)

Relaxaurus are decent early-mid game waterers for your base. They can also help transport resources to your chests. On the flip side, Relaxaurus are fantastic Pal partners when fighting Fire or Dark Type Pals, as you can unleash a flurry of rapid-fire attacks once you unlock its saddle.

Gobfin

Location: A ton of Gobfin spawns at the Gobfin's Turf Fast Travel Point (149, -207)

Gobfin made it to this list because it's acquirable in the early game. It's easily one of the best early-game pals, with skills like Power Shot and Hydro Jet. It's also a decent Pal for your base as it can do handiwork, transporting, and watering. Although Pengullet can also provide these base works for you, it doesn't have the same combat prowess as Gobfin has.
