How to farm Training Manuals in Palworld

The best way to farm Training Manuals in Palworld and increase your Pals' EXP is to explore dungeons. There are usually many on every island, so you won't have to travel far to explore several in one run.

Chests are usually scattered throughout the caves, which you can loot, but the best ones are the two you will find in the exit area after you defeat the dungeon boss. From my experience, they almost always have one or two Training Manuals.

If you aren't high-level, you can go to some low-level dungeons, like in the Verdant Brook area. However, the lower the cave's level, the lower the quality of loot, so you'll probably get Training Manuals S or M, which give you less XP for your Pals.

If you are a higher level, then you'll also want higher grade manuals like L or even XL (a Legendary Training Manual). These can be found in level 35+ dungeons, which are scattered across the Dessicated Desert and Mount Obsidian areas. Since they are at a high level, you need to really prepare as you will be getting attacked left and right.

The Pals in caves are usually Dark or Fire types. That means that your team should consist of Dragon and Water types. Pals like Azurobe and Jormuntide would be perfect. You will encounter other types, too, so the best strategy should be to bring your one or two Water and Dragon types, and the rest should be your strongest Pals. I always tend to bring my Vanwrym since it's my highest-level Pal, as well as a Dark/Fire type.

If you can provide support with an Assault Rifle or a different type of gun, you should be able to clear even the tougher caves. Just watch out if you are in Mount Obsidian, so do not step into the lava and catch on fire.

If you aren't up for dungeon crawling, then you can go with a different way to farm Training Manuals. Chests in Wildlife Sanctuaries sometimes have a Manual or two in them. This method is more difficult because of the distance you have to cross to reach the Sanctuary islands. In my experience, I had to go back and forth to these islands a few times before I could finally find one, and they were usually only M ones.

Another danger of the Sanctuaries is the PIDF officers, who will start attacking you if they catch you trespassing. However, they are pretty easy to get around if you are on a flying mount since they can't seem to look up. There are usually only a few of them on each island. Keep track of where they are and explore the other side of the island. If you aren't comfortable exploring when they are awake, you can also wait for the night to fall and for the officers to fall asleep.

There is also a relatively passive way to farm Training Manuals: from Raids on your base. If your base Pals are at a high level, they should be able to handle the threat on their own. All you have to do then is pick up any loot that the raiders dropped. The Manuals are usually only S or M during raids, though.
