After spending time expanding your base in Palworld, you won't want to see it get destroyed, especially not by fire. Fire can spread quickly and create chaos, so here's how to stop it!
How to put out fires in Palworld
I've accidentally stepped into my campfire one too many times and watched my character light up in flames. While it does cause some damage to you, it's not too life-threatening. However, it proves that fire can be dangerous, even more so if it catches on your structures.
If you built your base out of wood, you might want to rethink things. Wood is extremely flammable, and any fire enemies wandering up, like Dragons, can quickly burn it all to the ground. Thankfully, there are a few ways to stop that from happening.
Catch Water Type Pals
One way to put out fires is to utilize Water Type Pals. These Pals can spray water, which helps water plantations, and even put out fires on your base when necessary. If a fire happens to start, they will run toward it automatically and try to put it out. I have a few Pengullets that are perfect for this, and I caught them right down the hill from the spawn location. However, more powerful Water Types will be more effective.
Disassemble Structures
Another way to damage-control fires is to disassemble the structures affected. If the structure is already at risk of going down, you should take it down and retrieve your materials before you lose them. While this may be disheartening, you can always rebuild it again with those refunded materials.
To Disassemble structures and buildings, enter Build mode (up on the D-pad on Xbox or B on PC) and then enter Disassembly mode by pressing the right stick on Xbox or C on PC. Once in Disassemble mode, hover over an object (it will be highlighted in red), and then press Disassemble (X on Xbox or M1 on PC). It will destroy the structure, give you back some materials for it, and hopefully stop the fire from spreading any further.
These are a few ways you can extinguish fires in Palworld, but you can be a step ahead if you avoid using wood for base building and use something more structurally sound, like stone.
