How to find and catch the Space Pals in Palworld

Island Pals were cool, but Space Pals are even cooler.

Three Space Pals is more than I expected from Palworld. If you are wondering how to get these surprising additions to the game, here's how to find and catch the Space Pals in Palworld.

Where to get the Palworld Space Pals

Palworld introduced Space Pals with the Sakurajima update, but the big question is, where can you find them? You can get all three of the Palworld Space Pals only during Meteor events. These are events that happen every few hours in the game that will either cause a Supply or a Meteor drop.

In the case of a Supply drop, you will only get a Supply Chest surrounded by enemy officers that you need to fight off. However, when a Meteor drops, you will also get to fight (and catch) Space Pals Xenovander, Xenogard, and Selyne.

The events happen near wherever you are, and you can track them using the meteor symbol on your map and UI. However, which Space Pal you encounter depends on where you are.

How to find and catch Xenovander

Xenovander is the weakest Pal of the bunch. This Dark Pal is usually at around level 22, so you shouldn't have a lot of issues fighting it. I suggest bringing a Dragon-type Pal like Jetragon to defeat them, since you can also travel long distances quickly with it. This Pal has relatively average Work suitabilities; there are definitely better Pals for both categories.

  • Lumbering lvl2
  • Transporting lvl2

If you want to collect Meteor Fragments for your Meteor Launcher, then you should definitely bring Xenovander with you since it boosts the drop. It also boosts the drop of other ores, which is pretty useful.

Xenogard is a Dragon Pal that will show up at the Meteor event in the Dessicated Desert or the Astral Mountains. So, if you are looking to get this Pal, make sure to time your visit to one of these islands properly.

Since this is a Dragon-type Pal, you need to bring a team of Ice Pals with you (Mammorest Cryst, Chillet, Foxcicle, and Frostallion). Xenogard spawns in as an Alpha Pal, so it will be a pretty high level usually. Bring an Assault Rifle or a Rocket Launcher with you, just in case.

Xenogard's Work Suitability is Mining lvl 3, which can definitely come in handy at the base when you are farming for all the different ore. On a team, this Pal can be used as a mount, and it will also increase your chances of finding Meteor Fragments and ore.

How to find and catch Selyne

Selyne is the Space Pal that can only be found on the Sakurajima island. If you are looking to get this Dark and Neutral type Pal, then I suggest hanging out at your base for a few hours or just exploring Sakurajima until you get the meteor notification. I had to spend so much time in base to get it.

Since it's a Dark and Neutral type, you should bring Dragon and Dark type Pals to fight it. As a combination of both, Astegon should be your first choice for a party member. You should also make sure to come equipped with good weapons, an Assault Rifle at least, though I do prefer bringing a Rocket Launcher as well.

  • Handiwork lv. 3
  • Medicine Production Lv. 3
  • Transporting Lv. 3

Selyne has a good combination of Work Suitabilities that can be very useful in the base. However, I prefer her on a team as a mount (though I still mostly use Jetragon).
