Materials don't usually fall from the sky in Palworld (unless you shoot down a flying Pal), except they just might in this situation. If you want to know where to find Meteorite Fragments in Palworld, then keep reading.
How to get Meteorite Fragments in Palworld
You can get Meteorite fragments in Palworld during Meteor events. These are randomized events added with the Sakurajima island that will shake your screen as if something crashed next to you (something did crash).
Meteor events happen near your current location. From my experience, these events don't occur while you are at a base; they only occur when you are out exploring. You can recognize the Meteor events in Palworld by a meteor icon on the map.
However, keep in mind that not every Meteor event will give you Meteorite fragments. Often, you'll get a Supply chest instead. These are also pretty useful since you will usually find great items and materials such as Crude Oil, Elixirs, accessories, etc.
When a Meteor drops and not a Supply chest, it is accompanied by a space Pal (either Xenogard, Selyne, or Xenovander). This is a great opportunity to catch them for your collection. Xenogard, the Planet-devouring dragon, spawns as an alpha boss, so always be prepared for a tough fight when you head toward a Meteor.
From the air, the Meteorite ore might look similar to coal or stone, so drop down to check properly (don't be like me and keep flying around in confusion). The difference is in round purple spots that you will see on the ore.
Once you are safe from any attack, take out your Pickaxe and start hitting away. I usually get around 30 to 40 Meteorite Fragments from a single event.
All Meteorite Fragment Crafting Recipes
Meteorite Fragments are used to make a Meteor Launcher as well as Meteor Bullets. The bullets only require 2 x Meteor fragments, so it's not too difficult to farm for them. The Launcher, however, requires:
- Meteorite Fragment x 100
- Refined Ingot x 30
- Paldium Fragment x 20
Meteorite can also be used to get 3 x Paldium Fragments in the Crusher, so if you have enough bullets for the Launcher, you can turn what you don't need into another very useful crafting material.
