Sulfur is an important resource in Palworld because it is the key ingredient in producing Gunpower, and thus ammo for guns. Sulfur isn't that easy to find if you don't know where to look, so here's how you can get your hands on some in large quantities.
How to get Sulfur in Palworld
Due to Sulfur being so valuable, you'll want to get the resource in spades, and not just in small amounts. As such, the easiest way to get a lot of Sulfur quickly is to explore dungeons throughout Palworld. Sulfer is found dotted all over the world of Palworld, but it is best found through nodes within the confines of these aforementioned dungeons.
In Palworld, dungeons tend to look like caves grown into the side of mountains. They are separate instances from the main world, so you won't be able to look into one from a distance. Instead, look for mouthed rocky caverns with a black void in the middle for an entrance.
These locations are almost certain to be dungeons, which often house the Sulfur you're looking for. To enter it, simply run up to it and Interact with it. Doing so will also show you the level of the dungeon, which does play a part in whether or not you find Sulfur in it or not. The higher the level of the dungeon, the more likely to have rare resources within it. Sulfur is a mid-game resource, so you won't have to roam the highest-level dungeons for it, and it stands out from Ore and Coal by being bright yellow. I've found some in dungeons as low level as 13, as a reference for you.

Once you've found some Sulfur, I recommend using an Iron Pickaxe or a Pal with Mining Work Suitability. If you don't use either of these, you'll find yourself hacking away at the Sulfur node for an extensive time.
How to use Sulfur in Palworld
I mentioned earlier that Sulfur is the key ingredient in making ammo for your guns, but it isn't the only one. Charcoal is the other necessary reagent for Gunpowder, but this is easily produced by throwing Wood into your Furnace. When you have both Charcoal and Sulfur, you can combine them at a Weapon Workbench or High-Grade Workbench to create Gunpowder.
Be sure to have a Handiwork Pal available to help you make the stuff, as it will take quite a long time to craft alone. All other forms of gun ammo are created from Gunpowder in one way or another; thus Sulfur is an incredibly important resource you should look to secure as soon as possible.
