Best moves for Rampardos in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

It's slow, but it packs quite a headbutt.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, moves determine your Pokémon’s potential in battle. Pokémon will naturally learn more powerful ones as it levels up, but you can also visit Zisu in Jubilife Village to have it learn others for a price. This is true for every Pokémon in the game, including Rampardos—the Head Butt Pokémon.

Best moves for Rampardos

Rampardos is a Pokémon with a sinfully high Attack stat. This means that it’s better off with physical attacks than special attacks. Given that, below are the best moves it can learn.

  • Rock Slide
  • Thunder Punch (learned from the Move Tutor)
  • Fire Punch (learned from the Move Tutor)
  • Zen Headbutt (learned from the Move Tutor)

Moves that are used by Pokémon of the same type have their base damage increased by 50%. We call this same type attack bonus (STAB). Rock Slide is going to be your Rampardos’ main STAB move. You can also replace it with Head Smash, which is more powerful but has a lower accuracy than Rock Slide.

Meanwhile, Fire punch is super effective against Grass- and Steel-type Pokémon, which Rampardos is weak to. Similarly, Thunder Punch will cover its weakness to Water and Zen Headbutt will cover its weakness to Fighting.
