Best Nature for Piplup, Prinplup, and Empoleon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Make the most out of these penguin Pokémon!

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, each Pokémon excels at different roles due to their stat spread. These are Attack, Special Attack, Defense, Special Defense, and Speed. These are then affected by a Pokémon's nature. This is true for all Pokémon, including Piplup, Prinplup, and Empoleon.

Best Natures

To make the most out of your Piplup, Prinplup, and Empoleon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you will need to choose the best nature. Below we have compiled the best options for the best nature for Piplup, Prinplup, and Empoleon.

  • Modest: Special Attack (+), Attack (-)
  • Calm: Special Defense (+), Attack (-)

How to choose the best Nature

We recommend going with the Modest nature for Piplup, Prinplup, and Empoleon. Their highest stat is Special Attack and the boost to this stat will let them hit even harder. Piplup, Prinplup, and Empoleon do not learn many physical moves, so sacrificing Attack isn't a big deal.

The Calm nature is a good second choice as Piplup, Prinplup, and Empoleon have a high Special Defense as well. Going this route will make them more resistant to special attacks and let them counter with their own high Special Attack.
