How to get the Linking Cord in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Get your Linking Cord!

Pokémon Legends: Arceus deviates away from many of the classic elements of the Pokémon series. Evolution is dramatically different, specifically Pokémon that require being traded to evolve. These Pokémon now require an item to evolve called the Linking Cord.

To get the Linking Cord in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you will need 1,000 Merit Points and go to the Merit Shop in Jubilee Village. You can get Merit Points by finding and returning lost satchels to NPCs in-game.

The Linking Cord is necessary to evolve Pokémon that previously required being traded. This includes Graveler, Machoke, Kadabra, Haunter, and more. Once you give the Pokémon the Linking Cord, they will evolve into their third and final form. Though if you have trouble finding this item, these Pokémon can still evolve by trading.

These trade evolution Pokémon are powerful and useful Pokémon, so getting them is well worth it. They can be an excellent addition to your team and round out any weaknesses you may have. So collect Merit Points and get your Linking Cords!
