10 Things You Need To Do In Kitakami Before You Leave – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC

Gotta go back to Paldea rocking some new Jinbei.

There's a lot going on in Kitakami in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet that doesn't have to do with Ogerpon's Festival. Instead of leaving early, be sure to explore the DLC content in full before saying goodbye to Kitakami.

What should players do before leaving Kitakami in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC?

It's going to be rough leaving Kitakami without getting certain things done. Trainers could be walking away without catching some very rare Pokémon or grabbing some unique collectibles. Here's a list of everything you need to do before you move on to The Indigo Disk.

Catch Bloodmoon Ursaluna

This new version of Ursaluna is so powerful it would be a shame to leave Kitakami without it. To get Bloodmoon Ursaluna, players will need to finish the questline with Pirrin after 150 encounters. That will take players to the Timeless Woods, where, after they take pictures of 10 Pokémon in the fog, they will encounter Bloodmoon Ursaluna.

Catch the Loyal Three

Munkidori, Okidogi, and Fezandipiti are three of the most powerful Pokémon to be released in the DLC, so trainers will definitely want to catch them all. After obtaining Ogerpon, trainers can rematch each of the Loyal Three where they initially encountered them.

Get new Emotes

There are a couple of ways to get new emotes around Kitakami. If players find the couple behind the Mossui Community Centre and show them a Maushold or Tandemous, the player will get a new emote. The lady at the Pokémon Center also gives out emotes if she gets visited often enough.

Defeat the Kitakami Ogre Club

Members of the Kitakami Ogre Club can be found all over Kitakami. There is an NPC at the bottom of the stairs of Kitakami Hall that gives out rewards for beating Ogre Club members, so try to beat as many as possible.

Get the new outfit

Use the Poké Portal at the bottom right of the screen to grab a free outfit to commemorate the Kitakami experience. If players forget to claim it, it will be lost forever.

Pursue the Glitterati

The Glitterati is a secret society hidden around Kitakami. They are definitely worth tracking down, as players can get rare items and tons of money from finding and battling them.

Get some extra Jinbei

If players pay the Mossui Community Centre at the end of the storyline, they get rewarded with the Flashy Festival Jinbei. Players can get another free Jinbei if they revisit Carmine's Grandmother after the events of the DLC.

Get a free Sinnoh Starter

To grab one of the Sinnoh starters (Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup), talk to Jacq. He is waiting on the other side of the bridge connecting Mossui Town to Reveler's Road. Jacq will give the player an egg, which has one of the Sinnoh starters inside.

Get the Glimmering Charm

It's worth completing the Kitakami Pokedex just for this item. After seeing every Pokémon in Kitakami, talk to Jacq again for the Glimmering Charm. This item increases the odds of getting Tera Shards after Raid battles.

Catch Applin and Poltchageist

Don't go back to Paldea without these guys! Applin can evolve into the new Dipplin, and Poltchageist is a new Pokémon all on its own. Both of these Grass-types have very fun movesets to try out. They also have new signature moves: Syrup Bomb for Dipplin and Matcha Gotcha for Poltchageist.
