Best Nature for Finizen and Palafin in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Hail to the All Mighty Palafin!

Trainers have been waiting for a dolphin Pokémon to be introduced since Sun and Moon, and finally, we have them in Scarlet and Violet. Finizen and Palafin are Water-type Pokémon with a strong sense of justice. With switched out of battle, Palafin pulls a Superman and turns into its Hero Form, which packs quite a punch, literally. But Palafin’s punches will become even more potent with the right Nature.

What is the best Nature for Finizen and Palafin in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

The best Nature for Finizen and Palafin in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are the following:

  • Jolly (+Speed, -Sp. Atk)
  • Hasty (+Speed, -Defense)
  • Naïve (+Speed, -Sp. Def)

It’s no secret that Palafin, when in its Hero Form, has a mega-high Attack stat. But that’s exactly why it doesn’t need any more points into it. With a Jolly Nature and any other Nature that boosts its Speed, Palafin will often go first. The right Physical Attacks taught to it will let you K.O. enemies in one hit. This is true, even for PvP!

How to choose the best Nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

For the most part, a Pokémon’s best Nature is often one that boost its highest base stat. For example, our suggested Nature for Flamigo is Naughty (+Attack, -Sp. Def) as it has a naturally high Attack. However, Pokémon who have concentrated values on one stat, like Palafin, will benefit more if you raise a stat that can complement it. For offensive Pokémon, this is usually Speed.
