How to beat Orthworm the Lurking Steel Titan in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Be mindful of the rain when using Fire Pokémon!

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's third recommended Titan is the Orthworm Steel Titan in Area Three of the East Province. Players should have their Pokémon above level 28 for this fight as Orthworm can do quite a lot of damage otherwise. Orthworm is a pure Steel Type and can be taken out easily with the right team. Special Moves are the easiest way of defeating this Pokémon because of its weak Special Defense. This is how to defeat Orthworm the Lurking Steel Titan in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Area Three of the East Province in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet houses the Lurking Steel Titan, Orthworm. Much like the Rock Titan Klawf, Orthworm only has a single Type, pure Steel, which is one of the best defensive typings in the game. It's recommended to have Pokémon above level 28 as Orthworm can do a lot of damage at lower levels. It knows all Physical Attacks, so bringing a Pokémon with high Defense can make it easier to fight. It will have Normal, Rock, Steel, and Ground Type moves, so bringing a Fighting Type Pokémon like Makuhita can keep players aggressive without risking too much.

Orthworm is weak to Fire, Fighting, and Ground Type attacks and has a lower Special Defense stat, making Special moves more optimal in taking it down. Using a special attacking Fire Type like Cracolor can do exceptionally well, but risks them being knocked by moves like Bulldoze. After the initial fight, Orthworm will run off for players to chase them again, only for a second fight to start with Arven aiding with his Toedscool at level 28.
