How to evolve Porygon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Don't sleep on Eviolite Porygon2

Porygon is one of the many veterans from the Kanto region to comeback in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet through The Indigo Disk DLC. In order to evolve Porygon, you will need not one but two different items (and a buddy to trade with).

To evolve Porygon into Porygon2, you will need the Upgrade item. This is actually a reward for catching 100 Pokémon within the Terrarium of Blueberry Academy. Alternatively, you can also purchase the Upgrade for 250 BP. After getting the Upgrade, give it to Porygon and trade it for the evolution.

Where to find Dubious Disk in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

The Dubious Disk is found in a very similar way to the Upgrade. This time, you need to find 110 Pokémon in the Blueberry Pokedex. It might be a little tough to find the remaining 10, but remember there are some caves that hold exclusive Pokémon (I found Beldum in one). You can also buy the Dubious Disk for another 250 BP. You will need to trade Porygon2 as well to get PorygonZ.

You can't evolve Porygon unless you have one to begin with. Porygon is found in the Polar Biome in Blueberry Academy. I found a bunch while roaming the snowy mountain area. You should be able to find them, along with plenty of Snover and Cubchoo. Porygon is also a rookie Pokémon, which means it has a high catch rate!
