Raikou and Cobalion Paradox forms dropped in Pokemon DLC trailer

Archaludon isn't the only new Pokémon in the Blueberry Academy.

It looks like there are more new Pokémon arriving in the Scarlet & Violet DLC than expected. The previous trailers have already shown off the DLC's legendaries, along with the three guardians of the Teal Mask (Fezandipiti, Okidogie and Munkidori). This latest trailer, though, may have revealed some new Paradox forms very cleverly.

Paradox Raikou and Paradox Cobalion appear to be in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC

The latest trailer that dropped for the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC ended with a showcase of new Pokémon that will be found in Wave 2, called the Indigo Disk. The big name here was Archaludon, the new evolution of Duraludon. Towards the end of the trailer, though, two new mysterious forms for Raikou and Cobalion can be seen.

This revelation is in line with what has happened in the past with Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. In their last major update, they showed the world Paradox Suicune (Walking Wake) and Paradox Virizion (Iron Leaves). It seems to be a trend where one of the Unovan Legendary trio and the Johto Legendary trio will get Paradox forms at the same time. That means that the next to get Paradox forms would be for Terrakion and Entei.

Paradox Raikou received an elongated neck with its new design. Its flowing mane was also moved up around its head. This might hint at it being part Dragon-type like Walking Wake, but it's impossible to tell for sure at this point.

Paradox Cobalion got a futuristic makeover, with most of its features getting a mechanical look. While it's too early to tell, this is looking very much like a Steel and Electric-type Pokémon. Personally, I feel like this might draw lots of parallels with Sandy Shocks and Miraidon, both of whom are Electric-type, but it also makes sense for the Future Paradox Pokémon to share the Electric type as well.
