What is Clauncher’s evolution level in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Looking for a crab?

There are many Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet's Paldea region. Many of these can be caught in both versions, but some are exclusive, such as Clauncher. This Violet-exclusive Pokémon seems to take forever to evolve, which may leave you wondering what level Clauncher evolves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

What level does Clauncher evolve into Clawitzer in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Clawitzer will evolve into Clauncher when it reaches level 37. This is a late evolution for a first-stage Pokémon, so it will likely fall off in power as you near its evolution level. This can be mitigated by keeping it in your party but not actively using it. The experience share system will allow it to level up, or you can use candies to speed this process up.

How to get Clauncher in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Clauncher can be found all along the coast of Paldea. You will likely have to wait until you gain Koraidon/Miraidon's ability to swim to catch it, as there is no fishing. Here is where you can find Clauncher.

We found ours in the southeast corner of Paldea, just off the coast, while swimming. When you encounter one, you can use a Quick Ball or Net Ball to increase your odds of catching one. If you already have a Clawitzer, you can simply breed one. You can also trade for a Clauncher, which you will have to do if you are playing Pokémon Scarlet.
