To make this Bug/Fighting-type even more effective in battle requires the proper Nature, so grab one with the optimal build for fighting.

• Adamant (+Attack, -Special Attack)
• Jolly (+Speed, -Special Attack)

For Heracross, there isn't much competition on what makes the most optimal Nature. Because Heracross has such staggering Attack power, it's best to lean into this power will an Adamant Nature. Further bolstering his Attack power with an Adamant Nature makes him a force few can match. As a Physical Attacker, the decrease in Special Attack power won't impact this Pokémon.

Heracross also has the option to be an Attacker with a reasonable amount of Speed. A Jolly Heracross won't be the fastest in Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, but he'll be quick enough to outpace many of the game's other fighters. Keep in mind that the increase in Speed comes at the cost of that unrivaled Physical Attack an Adamant Nature would bring.
