When Pokémon Sword and Shield was released last year, they brought new forms of Pokémon, the Galarian forms. Different forms first appeared in Pokémon Sun and Moon, with a plethora of unique versions to be caught. The Pokémon Company has expanded on this, and now an array of new Galarian variations of Pokémon can be captured in the latest DLC, the Crown Tundra.
Not all of these forms have been released, so it'll be fascinating to see what we'll encounter on our journey through the DLC. One of these Pokémon is Slowpoke, as it can now evolve into Slowking!
How to evolve Slowpoke
To evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Slowking, a special item is needed, and this item, of course, is located in the Crown Tundra! First things first, however, you need to have a Slowpoke, as you cannot evolve Slowpoke into a Slowbro into a Slowking. The item to evolve Slowpoke into a Slowbro is located in the Isle of Armor expansion, this means you have to have the first expansion pack in order to get both of Slowpokes evolutions.
The item needed to evolve Slowpoke is located to the east, over by the Frigid Sea. You need to locate a woman to acquire this item. The lady is located in a small cave in the side of a mountain, so enter the water and head into the open sea but keep to the left. You'll eventually come across this small cave. Enter the cave and speak to the woman on the right, and she'll offer to make a Galarcia Wreath for you. This is the item we need to evolve Slowpoke.
To make this Wreath, she needs 15 Galacia Twigs, which can be located all over the island of the Crown Tundra - yet they are quite annoying to find. The Twigs appear as sparkling items on the ground, so remember to pick up every sparkling thing you encounter on your travels. Once you have all 15 you need, go back to the lady, and she'll give you the Galarcia Wreath.
All you need to do next is use the Wreath on your Slowpoke, and it'll evolve into a Galarian Slowking! No leveling up to a certain level is needed, just use the Wreath, and you're golden!
