This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Pokemon Sword and Shield just had its second DLC released, and with it comes some frosty mountains that you will need to explore. Getting through these cold conditions is worth it though, because there are legendary Pokemon to find, and some other fun ones to locate on your adventure. If you're able to get through all that awaits you in the mountains, then a fun little Pokemon is awaiting you!

Cosmog is a great little Pokemon who looks unassuming at first, but once you bring it down its evolutionary chain, turns into a formidable Pokemon for your roster!

Collecting Cosmog

To get Cosmog in Crown Tundra, you will first need to save the town from one of the Legendary horses that will attempt to wreak havoc. Once you are able to prevent the town's destruction, you can go to the house with the old lady near the farm plots. Go inside the home and you will find the Cosmog floating over a box, and an old lady near the sink. Talk to the sweet old gal, and she will thank you for protecting the village from harm. As a reward, she will hand over the Cosmog, and you will now have it in your collection!

Cosmog is a Psychic type Pokemon, and the one you get will start at Level 5. It has been deemed that this Cosmog is shiny-locked, so you will not be able to get it shiny if you decide to restart over and over again. So, don't waste your time with that or you are going to be very disappointed. You will now have your new buddy Cosmog available to you to level up and evolve into Cosmoem. If you have Pokemon Sword, your Cosmoem will evolve into Solgaleo, and if you have Pokemon Shield you will receive Lunala.
