Between all the exclusive Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, one stark difference is how Shining Pearl gets Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos, while Brilliant Diamond gets the three legendary beasts of Johto. And as the proud owner of Shining Pearl, you might be wondering how to get a hold of these legendary birds.

To get Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos, visit Ramanas Park near Route 221, which is only accessible after you get the National Pokédex. You can reach Route 221 by flying to Sandgem Town and Surfing from its South.

Inside the Ramanas Park building, speak with the shopkeeper near the entrance, and she will sell you Slates for Mysterious Gems. Mysterious Gems, while rare, can be mined for in the Grand Underground.

You will need to buy three copies of the Kanto Slates to meet Entei, Raikou, and Suicine. The Kanto Slates are only unlocked after you get three Discovery Slates and meet Regirock, Registeel, and Regice.

Once you have the Kanto Slates, enter Ramanas Park and go inside the Kanto Cave. Insert the Slates one by one, and you will meet Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos for a chance to capture them. All three legendaries have a high chance of appearing with at least three perfect IVs, so you can use them competitively.
