Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is just a day away but sometimes we’re too excited to wait. Besides, by now you’re probably seeing a ton of screenshots of people in their four or fifth gym online. Therefore, this begs the question: is there anyway to game both games before it’s released?

Can I play Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl early?

Unfortunately, the answer is no.

If you see walkthroughs on YouTube or screenshots on Twitter, it’s because some people had their physical copies shipped early. Unless your case is the same, there’s no official way to play the game early.

There are ROMs circulating since the game has been out for a week. However, don’t download them. Beyond the illegal practice, these ROMs usually contain a ton of bloatware and malware that can damage your PC.

For those who pre-ordered digital copies, you can download the game right now. And once it hits midnight on Nov. 19 in your region, you’ll be able to load the game without waiting an extra hour or so.
