The featured Pokémon for this week's Raid Hour is Altered Forme Giratina. On this day, players worldwide will see an increase in the number of Tier 5 Raids, all of which will host the featured Pokémon. Check out the guide below to see everything you need to know about the Raid Hour this week!
Schedule
The Raid Hour is hosted every Wednesday from the hours of 6pm to 7pm local time. This week's raid will be on Oct. 13, 2021. The fact that it is local time means that no matter where you are in the world, the Raid Hour will start at exactly 6pm. Depending on where you are, you may get to join in on the raid hour before anyone else!
Raid Guide
There is some basic information you need to know about Altered Forme Giratina. We have listed it all below.
Altered Forme Giratina
- Type: Ghost, Dragon
- Weak Against: Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, Ice
- Strong Against: Fighting, Normal, Bug, Electric, Fire, Grass, Water, Poison
- Notes:
- Giratina's dual-type makes it either have resistance or extra damage against a lot of different Pokémon. It's recommended you have a part like Dark, Fairy, or Ice Types.
- Even though Dragon and Ghost types do extra damage against Giratina, they are also vulnerable to Giratina's attacks. If you are using a Dragon or Ghost Pokémon, it's absolutely crucial that they are buffed with the most powerful attacks and a Weather Boost. You also want to pay attention to their secondary types since they could make a Dragon Pokémon even more vulnerable to Giratina's Dragon attacks.
Counters
Because Mega Pokémon are rarely used, we opted not to include them in the list of the best counters.
Pokémon | Quick Attack | Charge Attack |
---|---|---|
Garchomp | Dragon Tail | Outrage |
Palkia | Dragon Breath | Draco Meteor |
Dialga | Dragon Breath | Draco Meteor |
Zacian | Snarl | Play Rough |
Darkrai | Feint Attack | Shadow Ball |
Zacian and Darkrai are probably the best options to go with on the list above since they have better resistance to Giratina's attacks. If you don't have any of the Pokémon above, it's strongly recommended to go with a Fairy-type Pokémon or a Dark-type Pokémon.
That's everything you need to know about the upcoming Raid Boss!
