Shiny Pokémon are rare versions of Pokémon in Pokémon go that have modified looks. They are called shiny because they generally have a slight sheen added to them that makes them stand out more than the normal versions.
Shiny Rates
Apart from the Pokémon that don't have shiny versions in the game, every Pokémon has a base shiny rate assigned to it that tells you how often you'll see a shiny version of them under normal circumstances. All three of these Pokémon are Legendary Pokémon, meaning their default shiny rate is about 1 in 20. So, for every 20 Terrakion raids you do, you'll probably only get one shiny version.

How to Get Shiny Terrakion
There is no way to force a Shiny Terrakion to appear. Unfortunately, the best way to get a Shiny Terrakion is to increase the number of times you encounter them. Since Terrakion is a Legendary Pokémon that is rarely in the game, this can be incredibly difficult.
- Plan for a lot of raids. Twenty or more is ideal. It's a good idea to be in an area with a lot of gyms on a day where you know Terrakion, Virizion, and Cobalion will be featured in Raids. With their shiny rates at five percent, you'll have good odds of catching one if you do more raids.
- Watch out for Raid Hours and other Special Events. There is an upcoming Raid Hour scheduled for Terrakion, Virizion, and Cobalion on Nov. 10, 2021. Raid Hours are times where the amount of Tier 5 Raids increases, further boosting the possibility of seeing the shiny versions of these Pokémon.
