Pokémon Go Festival of Colors 2022 Event: Challenges, Bonuses, and Raids

Everything included in the Festival of Colors Event.

Pokémon Go has announced its annual Festival of Colors event. The event will run from March 15, 2022, to March 20, 2022. The start and end times for the Festival of Colors event are 10am local time until 8pm local time. The event will debut the Pokémon Oricorio and its variant forms. There will also be a new wild encounter rotation, raid rotation, research tasks, collection challenges, and avatar items in the in-game shop.

Collection Challenge

Players can complete a Collection Challenge to receive rewards during the event. Once each of the Collection Challenge Pokémon are caught, players will receive 20,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and an Oricorio encounter. The Pokémon that will need to be caught for the Collection Challenge are:

  • Slugma
  • Trapinch
  • Drowzee
  • Turtwig
  • Horsea
  • Taillow
  • Gligar
  • Oricorio

There are many new Pokémon popping up in the wild encounter rotation. See the full list of Pokémon that are featured as wild encounters:

  • Catch three Water-type Pokémon - 20 Mega Blastoise Energy
  • Catch three Water-type Pokémon - Squirtle encounter
  • Catch eight different species of Pokémon - Castform encounter (Sunny, Rainy, Snowy, or Normal Form)
  • Hatch an egg - Alolan Grimer encounter

New Avatar Items
