Chapter 15, Part 2: When Our Paths Part Battle Guide – Triangle Strategy

What's the cost of treachery?

Triangle Strategy's Chapter XV, Part II: When Our Paths Part makes Wolffort Hall its battleground. Patriatte watches from the stairs up to one of two balconies on opposite sides of the room. A new battle, Patriatte's Gambit, will commence once you choose your units. To win, "decimate the enemy forces." To lose, "allow Symon to fall."

Milo has finally joined your party and she and Serenoa are required units for this fight. Both Roland and Frederica, however, have left your forces temporarily for this one. Put the Resurrection Ring on Serenoa in case he falls in battle, and bring along Corentin and Narve. Both know ice magic and should take advantage of the enemies here with a weakness to it.

This might be a good opportunity to use Flanagan if you've recruited him. Like Erador, Flanagan is a great tank that can take many hits. High-defense units like these are fantastic for diverting enemy attention away from Lord Symon, especially with Erador's Provoke ability. Piccoletta's Decoy ability also works wonders in the way of diversionary tactics.

Archibald is probably your stronger bowman with a few excellent arrow attacks, but he's usually one of the few left standing in tough battles. Bring him if it suits you, and you can also consider Julio. His dealings in TP can be a serious boon when he's supporting heavy hitters who need those turn points, and his advanced ability Best Regards will do serious physical damage. You can also bring Medina, whose ability to throw healing items to two allies in one turn could be crucial.

Keep Lord Symon from falling

Glenbrook forces have you cornered in the room. Directly ahead of your vanguard of Serenoa and his father are two level-25 Shieldbearers and a level-24 Pikeman. Up the stairs on the left are a level-24 Blade, Bowman, and Battlemage. On the other staircase is a level-24 Bowman and a level-25 Elite Healer standing next to the boss, Patriatte, level 26.

The enemy units who know Wall Jump are the three Elite Rogues. They will jump down to where the bulk of your party begins the battle, and their ability allows them to act twice. Beware that one of them will jump down and then immediately strike you with Poison Stab. Defeat these Rogues as soon as possible, or they certainly will decimate you with Follow-Up attacks.

Unfortunately, Symon starts the battle with a little over a third of his max HP. Heal him at top priority, and keep his health up with either Medina, Geela, or Hossabara closeby. Symon is very powerful, however, and may very well be the last standing. Start with the majority of your attackers to the right but not in the edge squares. That way, the Rogues can't quite reach you at first. Concentrate on defeating these three, and once they're gone you can join Serenoa up front to finish off Patriatte himself when he descends.
