Final Chapter: Dance of the Automaton Battle Guide – Triangle Strategy

You’re almost there.

In a twist of events, it turns out that the revered Hierophant is nothing more than an empty puppet powered by the Aelfric. As a show of power, it even kills the Vice Minister and attacks your army. But not to worry! This battle is arguably not one of the worst ones the game has to offer. You just need presence of mind.

How to beat the Hierophant

The Hierophant may look threatening, but it’s really not. It just summons automations whenever it gets a free turn. It also has a pretty deadly skill that will defeat every unit who has three TPs or more. However, so long as you keep track of your TPs throughout the battle, it shouldn’t be an issue.

The real annoyances are everything else on this map. If you want to kill the Hierophant, you first need to get rid of everyone else. Erador and Hughette are all you need for this battle.

Erador can provoke enemies within two tiles. He has all the passive skills and defensive capabilities to tank nearly every hit. Just make sure he doesn’t get zapped by one of the mages, or he’ll retire in one hit. Provoke the mages before they can move close to him. If you need Benedict and Medica to continuously grant him extra turns to do so, do just that.

He won’t be able to keep that up forever, so be sure to throw him a Fortifying Spice before sending him off. Heal him when his HP goes down to 25%. Finally, use your allies to deal follow-up attacks on the enemies that have surrounded him.

Hughette, meanwhile, can use Shadowstitching Arrow on far away melee enemies to prevent them from moving for two turns (three if you upgrade it). This should grant your allies enough time to kill nearby enemies.

If you’d like, you can also use Lionel for this battle. He can provoke far away enemies.

There are no reinforcements in this fight other than the automations. The Hierophant can only summon them once per turn—and not even on every turn, at that. They deal big damage, however, so be sure to defeat them as fast as you can. Luckily, they’re very slow!
