Rainbow Six Siege Operator Tier List

Sooooo many operators to choose from.

Ranking Operators for R6 is a grand undertaking since there are just so many of them. However, we did our best in the Rainbow Six Siege Operator tier list below.

Which are the best Operators in Rainbow Six Siege?

There are almost 70 Operators across the Defender and Attacker categories in R6. That should be good news for players, though, because it means the meta is friendly to a large group of Operators, not just an elite few.

You also need to take into consideration that not all Operators will work well on all maps and sites. There are really only a few operators I would steer clear from; the rest are fair game.

SAce, Ash, Azami, Dokkaebi, Echo, Fenrir, Iana, Ram, Sledge, Smoke, Thatcher, Tubarao, Valkyrie, Wamai.
AAruni, Doc, Goyo, Hibana, Jager, Kaid, Kapkan, Lesion, Mozzie, Osa, Sledge, Solis, Thermite, Warden, Zofia, Rook.
BAlibi, Amaru, Brava, Castle, Ela, Frost, Glaz, Jackal, Melusi, Mira, Nokk, Twitch, Ying, Thorn, Zero, Kali, Maverick, Grim.
CBlitz, Finka, Flores, Fuze, Lion, Maestro, Montagne, Oryx, Pulse, Bandit, Thunderbird, Caviera.
DBlackbeard, Capitao, Gridlock, IQ, Vigil, Sens, Tachanka.

Best Attackers in Rainbow Six Siege

Ace

Ace is the best wall Breacher in R6 at the moment. Unlike Thermite, who needs to get close to a wall, Ace can throw his S.E.L.M.A. Aqua Breacher from a distance. It will break the wall in sections, giving you more time to survey the site and avoid getting shot. He also has three of them, so you can pretty reliably open up most of the wall. Just make sure to aim correctly, as the throw is a bit finicky.

Thatcher

The most common meta for defenders is to have at least one gadget denier, be it Kaid, Bandit, or Mute. That's where Thatcher and his EMP Grenades come into play. They will pause any device for several seconds, enough time to place a breach charge on the wall. Thatcher works great with Ace, Thermite, and Hibana. Make sure to throw another grenade after the effects of the first one disappear to avoid Kaid tricking.

Iana

Iana is one of the best intel attackers in R6. Her Gemini Replicator can freely roam around and scout where the enemies are. Just make sure you use it when hidden and further away so that the defenders don't hear it and come out to kill you. You can also trick with Iana and head straight to the site on your own. This way, you can surprise the defenders, who will be expecting a clone, and kill them. I got fooled by this tactic so many times.

Best Defenders in Rainbow Six Siege

Tubarao

The newest R6 Operator Tubarao is an all-rounder that can be used on almost any map. His Zoto canisters can slow down Operators and reveal their footsteps if they go across the frozen area. He does provide information, but the biggest benefit of playing Tubarao is gadget-denying. The canisters can freeze almost any gadget for a certain period of time, like breach or cluster charges, allowing you to control the match.

Azami

Azami is the best entry denier in Siege. Placing her Kiba barriers on doors and windows is perfect for controlling enemy movement. They can be taken down with a few hits, but it's risky, as there are usually peeks you can get shot through. She can also place the barriers anywhere on the sites and have them used as cover to hide and shoot behind.

Fenrir

Fenrir's F-Natt Dread Mines are one of the best traps in-game and very useful when he isn't banned. Whenever an operator steps into their range, their vision will be impaired, and they are essentially sitting ducks. The perfect places for these mines are usually above windows and doorways. This way, you are also slowing down and taking control of the game. Even a second of not being able to see can mean a bullet to the head in R6.
