Remnant 2 isn't exactly running silky smooth on most systems during its Early Access. In particular, the number of frames per second (FPS) the game seems to getting is on the low side, even for high-end PCs. For a big game release like this, it's sure to be a sore spot for eager players. Here are a few workarounds I've found that, at least, give you a solid increase to your FPS until the developers directly address the issue.
How to improve FPS in Remnant 2
- Lower Graphic Settings - Switch settings like Shadows and Post Processing to low. Additionally, disable Motion Blur as it can contribute to lower FPS.
- Update your Graphics Driver - Most often, when a new game comes out, updating the drivers of your graphics card will provide a solid benefit to your FPS.
- Turn on Upscaling - Turning on Upscaler and setting the quality to Performance can dramatically improve your FPS
- Lower your Resolution in-game - Sometimes new games come with weird issues relating to your resolution. Simply lowering it a level might be all you need to do to get a playable performance.

All of these band-aid fixes are meant to get the game playable. Unfortunately, they do come with the downside of lowering your overall graphics fidelity. However, until Gunfire Games addresses the performance issues from their end with a dedicated patch, this will have to do for now. If these fixes don't work for you, you can perform the tried-and-true system restart. Otherwise, as stated, wait for Gunfire Games to make amends.
