What to do with the Plain Ribbon in Remnant 2

Plain but useful.

Throughout my journey in Remnant 2, I've encountered numerous enemies, but also a fair share of puzzles and key items. These often lead to unique rewards, so I always make a point to figure out what each item does and the corresponding puzzle. This includes the Plain Ribbon. Fortunately, I figured out what to do with the Plain Ribbon and am here to tell you.

How to use the Plain Ribbon in Remnant 2

The Plain Ribbon is a quest item in Remnant 2 that can be missed or left unused. For its purpose to be revealed, you need to locate a statue of two Fae touching hands, as well as complete the Imposter Quest. The Plain Ribbon is a useless quest item until you complete both tasks.

Where to find the Plain Ribbon in Remnant 2

There are two locations where you can find the Plain Ribbon. I found mine in the Great Hall, but some are reporting that it can be found in the Gilded Chambers as well. For those who find the Plain Ribbon in the Gilded Chambers, it will be on the corpse of a Fae.

What to do with the Fae Ribbon Statue in Remnant 2

Once you have the Plain Ribbon, go to the statue of two Fae touching. You can interact with this statue to tie the Plain Ribbon around their hands. After this, you need to complete a quest, The Imposter. This is given to you by Nimue in Nimue's Retreat. This tasks you with killing either Faerin or Faelin.

Once you have dispatched one of the Imposters, return to the statue. The Plain Ribbon will have transformed into the Silver Ribbon if you killed Faelin, or the Golden Ribbon if you killed Faerin. This item can then be crafted into Nimue's Ribbon, an amulet, by speaking to Nimue after reporting the Imposter's death.
