Updated on February 25th, 2026: The Abyss Guns List has been updated to include two new guns added with the Abyss Jungle Update 1: The Banana Gun and The Wild Gun. Check out the list for all the information about them.
Looking for a list of all Abyss Guns? Unlike many Roblox fishing games, Abyss uses long-range weapons as the primary way to catch fish. These Abyss harpoons come with various stat packages, and given how grindy the game can be, you’ll want to think twice before investing your time and money into a gun. So, if you want to know what the best gun in Abyss is, check out our complete Abyss Gun tier list, including locations, damage, control, and a progression guide.
TL:DR Quick Summary:
- The best gun in Abyss is the Wild Gun.
- The fastest gun in Abyss is the Banana Gun.
- The Wild Gun has the highest DPS in Abyss.
- The Ruined Gun is the best for fish-cathing minigame (highest Control stat).
- The Wild Gun has the highest damage per single shot.
Every Roblox Abyss Gun - A Complete List
At launch, there are 12 Abyss Guns available for purchase. Much like Abyss Tubes, these weapons are fairly straightforward in terms of design and quality. They don’t offer any unique passive abilities or special buffs; instead, each gun is defined by three core stats that scale upward as prices increase, with only minor variations between them.
Because of this, this guide functions more as a complete overview of all available guns rather than a traditional Roblox Abyss Guns tier list. Determining the best weapons in Abyss is largely a matter of comparing raw numbers, making a tier list unnecessary. The goal here is simply to provide clear, organized information on every gun currently available in the game.
NOTE: The Abyss Guns stats are as follows: Damage is how much health you chip off a fish per shot. Cooldown is how much time passes between two shots (essentially attack speed - the lower, the better), and Control governs the size of the green area in the fishing mini-game. The bigger it is, the better (the easier the mini-game becomes).

Abyss Guns Progression Guide
Unlike Tubes, whose primary function is progression by reaching further parts of the ocean and unlocking new biomes, Guns in Abyss serve the same role that Rods do in most other Roblox fishing games. You’ll use them to catch progressively bigger and more powerful fish, which will earn you more cash in the process.

As soon as you start, you’ll learn that some fish are simply too big for your starter gun, and that you’ll need to buy something more optimal. You’ll want to buy better guns to catch rarer fish and complete quests, but you also don’t want to waste money by buying every single gun available. That said, here’s the optimal Roblox Abyss gun progression:
- Start of the game: I would say the Beginner's Gun is the best option for the first hour of the game.
- Early to mid-game: The Air Rifle Gun will be able to carry you through most of the early game quests confidently, and so, you can skip the Advanced Gun if you want.
- Best mid-game Abyss Gun: The Wasted Gun is by far the best option once you transition to the Ancient Sands region. You can buy it from Crazy Jeff's Store.
- Late-game Guns: IMHO, Morveth’s Treasure Gun is the best gun for when you start transitioning into the late game.
- End-game Guns: The two best end-game guns in Abyss are the Wild Gun and the Banana Gun, but I'll need to see their updated prices before I decide which one is more optimal.
Abyss Guns FAQ
The Beginner's Gun and the Air Rifle Gun will carry you through the early stages of the game.
The Wasted Gun is the best option for the mid-game challenges in Abyss.
The Morveth’s Treasure Gun is by far the best option for mid-to-late-game transition. The Lost Spirit Gun is also great, but much more expensive - a true late-game Gun.
Beginner's Gun→Air Rifle Gun→Wasted Gun→Morveth's Treasure Gun/Lost Spirit Gun→Bob's Plunger Gun
At the beta release, that would be Bob's Plunger Gun, with 420 damage per single shot.
The fastest Gun in the Abyss Beta is Ruined Gun, with just 1.7 seconds of cooldown between shots.
The Ruined Gun has the best DPS in the beta build in Abyss, with 205.9 damage per second. The second highest is Bob's Plunger Gun, with 182.6 damage per second. Of course, this takes into account that you will always fire immediately once a cooldown finishes.
Currently, in the beta release version of Abyss, the most expensive gun is the Ruined Gun, which will cost you a staggering $245,000, plus one of the hardest questlines to complete in the game (The Lost Captain Questline).
Again, that's the Ruined Gun, as the size of the green bar with it is 1.1 (control stat value), the biggest in the game. That means you'll have much more leeway and room for slow reflexes while trying to complete a perfect mini-game.
Yes, the gun is perfectly fine; you don't need to save money for the Ruined Gun and Bob's Plunger Gun until after you reach end-game.
That about wraps up my Roblox Abyss Guns guide. Now that you know every Abyss gun's stats, price, and location, you're in a much better position to spend your money optimally for your gun progression in Abyss.
