New Anime Vanguards PvP Game Mode

TD games are usually you against enemy units. You can work with other players to clear stages, but it's very rare that you are able to battle it out with others.

What's interesting in Anime Vanguards is that you can choose to go Traitless to even the playing ground, or go Traited and show off your better units. Additionally, every 5 waves a new negative modifier card will be applied to both you and your opponent, making it an even more challenging battle. The Anime Vanguards PvP consists of three modes:

  • Assault - 1v1 battle mode where you send enemies to each other with 15 Enemy Mutators to choose from.
  • Defense - 1v1 defense battle where you will prove who has the best strategy.
  • Ranked - Assault mode with an entire skill based matchmaking system and the ability to ban opponent's units.

Of course, you won't just battle for the glory. You'll also get Ranked rewards and even PvP coins which you can use in the PvP Shop for Trait Rerolls, Phoenix Shards, Ro Jer Bike Mount, and more.

New Stages - Story and Legend

Of course, it wouldn't be a great updated without additional stages to clear. You can now play two new stages in both Story and Legend modes:

  • Heaven's Edge (Story) - enemies have a new Armored mechanic. That means that they have a stack number next to their health bar which you decrease by hitting the enemy. If the stack number is higher, than the Damage Reduction is higher as well.
  • Shining Castle (Legend) - you can obtain Byeken's quest item drop by clearing this stage.

Changes to the Rift

With the addition of Astolfo (Rider of Black), you'll now see the Rift cycle every week. If you missed a unit previously featured in the rift, you'll now be able to get it. The Rift Shop has also been restocked, with two new items:

  • Secret Temporal Rift - opens up a Rift in your current lobby.
  • Mythic Foo - familiar
