20 Best Roblox Horror Games In 2025

Do you want classic jump scares, a creepy and immersive atmosphere, or to chase your friends around in a crazed killing spree? Whatever your tastes in horror, Roblox has what you need. If you’re looking for the latest and greatest, as well as the classics, read on for the 20 best horror games you can play on Roblox in 2025.

The Best Horror Games on Roblox

Below is my list of the best Roblox horror games (2025) I’ve played. It’s in no way an exhaustive list, as Roblox horror games appear on the platform every month. If your favorite isn’t listed here, let us know in the comments below.

20. Interliminality

If you're a fan of the Back Rooms and Liminal Spaces, then Interliminality is the Roblox Horror for you. With a dark and unsettling environment, paired with a terrifying entity out to get you, Interliminality will send chills down your spine for sure. Though the game is still in Alpha, there's a thriving fan and player base, so you can hop on anytime.

19. Demonology

Similar to the likes of Phasmophobia, Demonology is a new and unique Roblox horror experience that you should try out this year. Features tons of ghosts, unique gameplay mechanics, and replayability, and boasts a growing player base, it's definitely worth checking out. Moreover, it offers a co-op experience, so you can play it with your friends or even random matchups.

18. The Butchery

Your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, deep south USA, and two brothers take you in to ‘help’ at their remote cabin. What could go wrong? The Butchery features lots of cool jump scares, awesome graphics, and fun cut scenes in this solo survival horror experience. Avoid the brothers and leave the farmhouse to escape and win by exploring and solving puzzles. 

17. Escape The Carnival of Terror Obby

Isn’t it just like you to get yourself locked in an abandoned carnival by an evil clown? While you can expect a few minor jump scares, Escape The Carnival of Terror Obby is more of a horror-themed trap and Obby experience than a horror game per se. But you do have to stay away from the killer clown while beating a series of challenging obstacles to escape. 

16. Survive The Killer!

Survive the Killer is one of my favorites, as it's inspired by frightening classics while providing a brilliant asymmetrical horror game experience. A new game starts every few minutes, and you’ll be chosen as either a survivor or the killer. As a survivor, you’ll need to work as a team to escape while also trying to save your friends. 

15. Cheese Escape

While cheese may not give most people nightmares, rats are certainly a horror genre staple. In Cheese Escape, you’re thrust into a maze with many other players and tasked with finding all the cheese. This is made tougher as you’re constantly pursued by a huge, scary rat! You’ll also need to find keys and solve puzzles, escape room style, as you go.

14. The Maze

What I love most about The Maze is that you start in an open area, which allows you to explore at your own pace and lulls you into a false sense of security. Once you enter the maze, with only a flashlight and camera for company, things immediately feel enclosed and claustrophobic. Then you realize your flashlight has limited battery life, and you’re not alone.

13. The Rake: Remastered

The Rake Remastered definitely ranks as one of the scariest games on Roblox. Filled with an intense survival horror experience, it'll get your adrenaline rushing as The Rake pursues you. There's a bone-chilling tension in the air that'll keep you on your toes while you try to survive through the night.

12. Specter

If you're looking for the top co-op horror games on Roblox, Specter takes the cake on that list. Filled with a ton of replayability, and unexpected elements of horror every corner, it'll keep you hooked to the screen for longer than you might want. With all kinds of terrors to offer and a thriving player base, Specter is worth giving a try to every horror fan. It also helps that it's inspired by Phasmophobia.

11. The Intruder

You’re the next target of a violent criminal that’s on the loose! Hide in your room’s closet when the criminal is close, and watch their every move on your home's cameras to track their location. Will you outlast their attempts to find you until the phone is repaired, or fight back? Expect a taut horror experience of jump scares inspired by Five Nights at Freddy’s and The Mandela Catalogue.  

10. Alone in a Dark House

Alone in a Dark House is another horror game for fans of exploration and investigation. The game is a solo or group experience set in a dark house. Exuding a creepy vibe and paired with a great storyline, the game intensifies as you explore and find more secrets to what has happened here. If you can afford a private server, it's well worth it, as the solo experience makes the game sing.

9. Apeirophobia

Apeirophobia follows the tried and true pattern of backrooms style levels. Here, the monsters will chase you around the familiar yellow painted rooms as you try to survive. While this type of game does inspire horror, I prefer mine to be a little more filled with anticipation. Liminal Spaces should have you questioning whether something is really happening or if it's just in your head after spending so long in the backrooms. Despite this, I did enjoy it very much with the addition of solving puzzles to escape while hiding and making breaks for it to stay alive. Don’t forget to breathe!

8. PETAPETA

While you can play PETAPETA on your own, it is way easier in a team when you can spread out and search the rooms. The hide in closet mechanic is a core part of so many horror experiences and it works well here too. If you want even more from the studio, you can check out the PETAPETA spinoff School of Nightmares.

7. The Mimic

As with Geisha, The Mimic takes urban legends made to scare kids and turns them into a Roblox horror game that is likely to scare just about anyone. You can play solo or in a group, and it is packed full of jump scares (visual and audio) within imaginative levels that are completely terrifying. With newer updates and chapters which intensified the game's horror, The Mimic now ranks as one of the top Roblox horror experiences.

6. Rainbow Friends

If there's one genre that really lends itself to the terror and fear than it's mascot horror. Rainbow Friends is one such game that has you exploring multiple locations, collecting items and running away from the friendly-looking but not friendly-behaving mascots. It is less fear inducing when you're in a large lobby, but it's still fun nevertheless.

5. 3008

If you want an immersive survival horror experience, 3008 should be high on your list of Roblox experiences. During the day, you'll gather supplies in a massive furniture store, build your base, and replenish your energy with medkits. But when night falls, will you be able to survive its scary employees? 

4. Doors

To beat Doors, you’ll have to work through procedurally generated levels, solve puzzles, and avoid a huge cast of entities with different ways of ruining your day! Sound is key in this jump-scare-heavy horror game as you work through a series of hotel floors looking for the exit. Each floor has its puzzle and creature, making for a game you’ll keep returning to for more.

3. Pressure

A fan-favorite and one of the best Roblox horror game to play would be Pressure. With an immersive world-building and tons of replayability, Pressure offers a unique horror experience unlike any other Roblox horror title. An intense survival experience, mashing the best aspects of popular horrors like Iron Lung, SCP-Containment Breach, and even Doors, you should definitely give this one a try.

2. Foresaken

Essentially a Dead by Daylight clone with the same objective to fix Generators, except in this game you do it by connecting dots (instead of a QTE skill check). The variety of Survivors and Killers brings about a lot of replayabilty to the the table. If you're tired of DBD or just want to play something similar to it, then definitely dip into Foresaken.

1. Dandy's World

Getting chased down by cute little Toons might not seem like a horrifying experience, but the jumpscares and anticipation does build up, especially as you progress through rounds. Similar gameplay to Dead by Daylight just like with Foresaken, except with NPC Killers like in Lethal Company and R.E.P.O. The Killers' AI works amazing, and there's many of them which means you have to learn each of their behavior patterns to stay alive. If you're a fan of asymmetrical horrors, then Dandy's World is what you should test out.
