How to get Freeze Trap ability in Blade Ball

Freeze Trap is an exclusive ability because you can only get it in one place, the Xmas Shop. You'll need to earn Christmas Stockings to purchase the ability from the Shop located in the corner of the lobby. It's unfortunately the most expensive item in the shop, costing 4,500 Stockings.

How to get Christmas Stockings in Blade Ball

Christmas Stockings can be collected in a few different ways. You can earn some through the Socks Pass in the Xmas Shop menu by purchasing the pass with Robux and logging in for 7 consecutive days. Alternatively, you can earn some Stockings for free by defeating players in the arena, collecting them off their fallen bodies, or locating them around the map. However, this is only available on select maps, such as the Winter map.

How to use the Freeze Trap ability in Blade Ball

The Freeze Trap ability is the perfect opportunity to trick your opponents and set them up for their demise. Like other Freeze abilities, it will turn players to ice and restrict them from moving for a few seconds; however, with a bit of a twist. When you press the ability button, Q, you will drop the trap onto the ground wherever you stand. When the player steps on the trap, they will freeze in that spot.

You'll want to place your trap strategically so that players are more likely to step on it. This will require you to run around the map to place the trap in those spots, so choose your moments wisely. It's better to drop the trap between you and the opponent, either in the middle of the map or around the edges (where some players like to stay for safety). Once the player is frozen, try to send the ball their way to take them out while you have the chance.
