Demonology is a popular Roblox Horror experience, similar to the likes of Phasmophobia. You get to hunt different kinds of ghosts alongside your friends or even solo. With 16 different types of ghosts to identify, it can be quite challenging to get it right. All Demonology Ghosts Guide
Among the 16 currently available ghosts in Demonology, some of them can be quite obvious to recognize, while others might give you a tough time or even hunt you continuously. Moreover, you can take advantage of the strengths and weaknesses of every ghost to recognize them.
Also, every ghost in Demonology spawns with a random speed, but some of them still have higher or slower speeds, which we'll mention to help you be prepared in case you find yourself being chased by a ghost. There are also stuff like flickering lights, breaking glass, or even open-close doors that every ghost can do at random, these aren't solid evidence that you can use to identify their type.

The Ghoul is one of the more aggressive ghosts in Demonology, having the trait of starting hunting when asked a question via the Spirit Box. Because of this, the easiest way to identify a Ghoul is, if your Spirit Box is working during the hunt, it is confirmed to be a Ghoul. Without a hunt, you'd need to find Freezing Temps and Ghost Orbs as well.

The Shadow is one of the more unique Ghosts in Demonology. It drastically changes its movement speed depending on the room's illumination. This makes it easier to spot as you can notice the speed change when the lights flicker during a hunt. Also, it changes temperatures very slightly, and you'll need EMF Level 5, Ghost Writing, and Laser Projector to confirm it.

If you're playing on higher difficulties, the Demon will hunt nonstop once it begins, making it quite obvious to identify.

One of the more tricky ghosts to deal with is the Entity in Demonology. It has the unique power to teleport from one room to another, both passively as well as during the hunt. Also, it can teleport back to its original location and sometimes even close to players. You can try to observe the ghost's location during a hunt to see if it teleports. In case you can't, you'd need to get Spirit Box, Handprints, and Laser Projection evidence to identify it.
Skinwalker

The Skinwalker can be a bit tough to identify and is similar to the likes of Mimic from Phasmophobia. The best way to identify it would be to carry a Spirit Box and ask questions frequently. When it does answer, you'll get the rest of the evidence like Freezing Temps and Ghost Writing quite easily.
Banshee

The Banshee is one of the simpler ghosts to identify. Their strength, which is breaking glass frequently, is the biggest giveaway of their identity. Other ghosts seldom break glass, maybe once during the entire playthrough, but Banshees do it more commonly. So, if you spot broken glass, it's highly likely to be a Banshee. Seeing some if not all the evidence like Ghost Orbs, Handprints, and Freezing Temps can also help you make sure.
Wendigo

So, if the Ghost stops as soon as a player dies during a hunt, it's guaranteed to be a Revenant.
