How to start the Kitchen Storm in Grow A Garden

To start a Kitchen Storm in Grow A Garden, you have to fill up the Kitchen Storm Bar above the Chris P NPC at the center of the map. You can do this by simply giving him food, especially high-rarity Transcendent food recipes. I have mentioned the exact number of points awarded for each type of food in the given table.

When you fill the bar, the Kitchen Storm event will automatically start for the whole server. During the Kitchen Storm, your cooking speed doubles, and you increase the chance of getting a mutation for your food items.

Along with the Kitchen Storm Event, the developers have also added an NPC called the Food Connoisseur, who is nothing but a rat right next to the Cooking Pot. Similar to Chris P, he will also give exclusive rewards for providing him with rare food. So, if you are bored of feeding the same food again and again to the Pig, you can switch it up and give some to the Rat Connoisseur.

How to make Mutated Food in Grow A Garden

In order to get better rewards from the Rat Connoisseur, you must provide him with high-rarity foods and mutated ones. To do this, you must place mutated ingredients for a particular recipe instead of normal ones. For example, suppose you are making a legendary pizza, instead of giving a standard Sugar Apple. In that case, you can provide a mutated Sugar Apple of any kind to carry over the mutation to the final food item. The more mutated ingredients you place, the greater the chance of getting a mutated food. You can always check the carryover rate by checking the meter above the cooking pot; if this needle reaches 60% or above, you can be sure that the mutation will be applied to the foods as well. Also, you can further increase your chance of getting a mutation by cooking during the Kitchen Storm Event.
