Devas of Creation is a complex RPG experience that requires the players to understand several mechanics/themes, such as race, skills and builds in the game to progress quickly. So, if you have just logged in to the game and want some great advice to begin your journey, keep reading this guide.

Devas of Creation Guide - Tips & Tricks

Below, I have mentioned five tips and tricks to quickly help you grasp the essence of the gameplay loop in Devas of Creation. Just follow these and you will easily progress through the campaign.

Race

The most critical aspect that determines how you are going to play the entire game is the selection of your race. The main reason behind this is that it influences every other aspect of your gameplay, like weapon builds, accessories, and the type of pets you want to use. So, instead of choosing something randomly at the start, pick the race based on your combat style and ease of use.

For example, if you are someone who loves speed-based builds, Umbralith should be your number 1 priority, whereas if you want a bit of tankiness, Cryuleas will be the perfect fit. To make your life easy, I have included a small cheat sheet below that will help you pick the right path.

Skills

Similar to the race, the skills you choose also heavily impact your combat style and strategy. So, whenever you get a weapon through the main quest line or trading, be sure to select weapon skills that match your gameplay style/build.

For instance, if you look at the above image, instead of unlocking any random skill for my Ice Staff, I made a very wise decision to get the Ice Turret. Why? I felt that this skill would match my gameplay style as I tend to reposition a lot during my fight and can utilize the auto-attack feature of the turret to the maximum advantage. I even went on to increase the range and shot count of the skill in the following upgrades to make it more lethal.

So, hover the mouse over every skill for the selected weapon and pick the one that resonates with your gameplay instead of choosing a popular one.

Resource Management

A common mistake I noticed among many players during the initial to mid stages of the game is completely neglecting to collect resources. Please don't do this and focus on gathering resources when possible. Why? Because you need resources to craft the best tools and gear to quickly progress.

For example, if you have to defeat challenging bosses, you need to have quality gear and accessories; for this, you need to get high-quality resources that can only be farmed if you have a high mining/chopping/gathering skill level. So, instead of just hitting a rock or chopping a tree for two to three in-game days, develop the habit of farming resources regularly as you progress in the game to avoid performing such cumbersome tasks together.

Pets and Mounts

A common feature often overlooked by many newbies is the pets. There are two types of pets in Devas of Creation: buff pets and rideable mounts. Indicative of its name, the buff pets provide certain perks to the player, while the rideable mount allows you to travel across the map quickly. Definitely get hold of these pets to make your build stronger while saving tons of time when reaching any destination.

To get your first pet, reach level 15 and visit the Zorin NPC near the Elderwood forest. Complete the mission he provides to get a chest that may reward you a pet as a drop reward.

Combat Strategy

When you are facing a new boss or enemy type in the game, don't rush and swing your weapons in their face. Instead, be patient and calm. Firstly, learn their attack pattern, the amount of damage they inflict, and the way they move.

Now, using this information, devise a lethal combat plan that involves using your current skills/builds and execute it. You will definitely fail a lot of times before arriving at a reliable solution that will defeat that boss easily. Keep making such strategies and remember them, as you will often face the same enemy further in the campaign.

General Tips and Tricks

• Use the City Guards to protect you if some random wild animal is chasing you.
• Always try selling your items in the market to another real-life player instead of selling them to the NPC traders for a dead cheap rate.
• Middle-click on any creature or boss to learn all the current drops from that creature before attacking them.
