Enchanting your fishing rods is slightly time-consuming, so while you might not want to improve all of them, it's good to have your preferred effects in mind. To help you pick the right buffs, we've created the best Enchants for each fishing rod in Fisch.
Best Fishing Rod Enchantments List in Fisch
With plenty of different fishing rods in Fisch, choosing which ones to enchant can be difficult. When you have the spare cash and are at the Altar with your Relics, try to roll these Enchants to improve rods in your inventory. But if you're short on resources, focus on buffing your best ones.
If you have rods that are better than, for example, Buddy Rod, focus on them. The best rods list with enchantments below will help you make the best decision. Below, you'll find the perfect enchants for the best rods, but they're not the only options. Check out the Fish Enchant tier list for alternatives so you don't spend all your Enchant Relics hunting for the ideal solution.
Fishing Rod | Best Enchant | Enchant Effect and Benefits |
---|---|---|
Aurora Rod | Resilient | +35% Resilience. The Aurora Rod only has 6% Resilience. Boosting this stat can turn an already powerful rod into a fish-catching machine, reducing how often you lose a rarer fish that moves more during the catching process. |
Carbon Rod | Divine | +45% Luck. The Carbon Rod has a pretty poor Luck stat at 10%. Yet, this fishing rod is one of the best for beginners to use because it's affordable and has the best stats of the cheaper rods. Increasing its Luck makes it a rod worth having later on. |
Celestial Rod | Resilient | +35% Resilience. One of the few craftable rods worth making, the Celestial Rod needs more Resilience above all else. |
Destiny Rod | Steady | Reduces progress loss by 25%. The Destiny Rod has enough luck at 250%, but its Lure Speed and Resilience stats are both poor. The Steady Enchant will help you avoid fish loss when using this rod. |
Fast Rod | Quality | +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience. The Fast Rod needs an all-over makeover to be useful. Its Lure Speed is a decent stat at 45%, but its Luck is -15%, and its Resilience is -12%. You can boost the rod's overall power by choosing the Quality Enchant. |
Flimsy Rod | Quality | Increases luck by 15%, Resilience by 5%, and Lure Speed by 15% The Flimsy Rod is useless after you earn enough to buy a better rod as a beginner. If you want to keep using it, the Quality Enchant is the only one that makes it worthwhile by giving it okay stats. |
Fortune Rod | Resilient | +35% Resilience. The Fortune Rod has bad Lure Speed and Resilience stats, but as long as you fix the Resilience stat with the Resilient Enchant, you can make using the rod a better experience. Its Luck stat is pretty high at 110%, so making fish less likely to resist being reeled in is the best choice. |
Fungal Rod | Insight | x1.5 EXP from all catches. The Fungal Rod has fairly basic stats. They're a bit lackluster, but with 45% Luck and no negative stats, you may as well have some fun with this Rod and make it one that boosts your EXP when used. |
Haunted Rod | Noir | 10% chance to fish Albino and Darkened fish. The Haunted Rod already improves your chances of catching Ghastly and Sinister fish, so why not add a third possible Mutation with the Noir Enchant? It's thematic. |
King's Rod | Sea King | Each caught fish has an extra 10% chance of being Big. The King's Rod can catch larger fish without any Enchantments, but adding the Sea King Enchant doubles the possibility of catching a Big fish. For a rod with okay Luck, Control, and Resilience stats, leaning into the rod's effect is a good choice. |
| ||
Long Rod | Quality | +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience. The Long Rod has awful stats. To keep using it, you'll need a Quality Enchant to make it worthwhile. The rod has no benefit, so the choice to Enchant it or not is yours. |
Lucky Rod | Quality | Increases Luck by 15%, Resilience by 5%, and Lure Speed by 15%. As the name suggests, the Lucky Rod has a decent Luck stat. At 70%, you could choose to up its Luck with the Divine Enchant, but the Quality Enchant would give the rod better stats overall. |
Magma Rod | Divine | +45% Luck. Considering this is the only rod that lets you fish in Roslit Volcano, its stats aren't great. No Enchant will fix the -70% Lure Speed that this rod has, so focus on Luck or Resilience. With an extra 45% Luck from the Divine Enchant, the Magma rod would have 70% Luck total. |
Magnet Rod | Hasty | +55% Lure Speed. As this rod isn't made for catching fish, there's no point adding any fish-related Enchants. Instead, focus on spam-fishing for crates because that's what the Magnet Rod specializes in. |
Midas Rod | Divine | +45% Luck. The King's Rod can catch larger fish without any Enchantments, but adding the Sea King Enchant doubles the possibility of catching a Big fish. For a rod with okay Luck, Control, and Resilience stats, leaning into the rod's effect is a good choice. |
Mythical Rod | Resilient | +35% Resilience. As much as I want to suggest the Divine Rod, Mythical fish are some of the most annoying to catch because of how much they resist being reeled in. Get the Resilient Enchant and save yourself the headache. |
Nocturnal Rod | Resilient | +35% Resilience. The Luck stat on the Nocturnal Rod is fine, so focus on upping the Resilience stat instead. Alternatively, you might like the Controlled Enchant to make the control bar bigger when catching fish. |
No-Life Rod | Hasty | +55% Lure Speed. The No-Life Rod doesn't really need tweaking, but if you want to enjoy a hardcore fish-catching session, adding the Hasty Enchant will allow you to catch more fish without waiting around. |
Phoenix Rod | Wormhole | 45% chance to catch fish from a random location. The Phoenix Rod already has good stats and you don't want to override its effect by adding an Enchantment with another Mutation. Instead, go with the Wormhole Enchantment so you can pull Scorched fish from every location in Fisch! |
Plastic Rod | Quality | +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience. Another cheap beginner's rod, the Plastic Rod, needs some stat upgrades to continue being useful after you find your feet. You can more than double its stats with the Quality Enchant. |
| ||
Precision Rod | Resilient | +35% Resilience. Considering that the Precision rod is one of the better craftable fishing rods, it doesn't need much work. I'd add a Resilient Enchant to boost it from 5% to 40%. |
Rapid Rod | Divine | +45% Luck. The Rapid Rod is fast but doesn't have the Luck stat to keep up. Add the Divine Enchant to make it fun to use and catch fish worth your time. |
Reinforced Rod | Quality | +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience. This rod is the only one that can be used in the Desolate Brine Pool. Add to its stats with the Quality Enchant to make it easier to catch fish in that area. |
Relic Rod | Divine | +45% Luck. The Relic Rod has amazing stats but it suffers from a Luck stat that's only 20%. Given that it already has the control of the Mythical Rod and has a better Lure Speed and Resilience percentage than the Scurvy Rod, upping the Relic Rod's Luck is the best choice. |
Resourceful Rod | Quality | +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience. I really hate the craftable rods and six of them are a waste of time. That includes the Resourceful rod. If you must use it, add a Quality Enchantment. |
Riptide Rod | Breezed | +65% Luck during Windy weather. Riptide is a rod you can have a little fun with. Lean into the thematics of its namesake and choose the Breezed Enchant to boost its Luck by 65% on windy days. |
Rod of the Eternal King | Steady | Reduces progress loss by 25%. Given that the Rod of the Eternal King benefits from a Max Weight of 75,000kg, adding the Steady Enchant to reduce progress loss from rarer fish is the best choice. |
Rod of the Forgotten Fang | Hasty | +55% Lure Speed. The Rod of the Forgotten Fang has great stats across the board, but it's a little slow for an end-game rod. Add Hasty for a 55% Lure Speed increase. |
Scurvy Rod | Quality | +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience. The Scurvy rod has okay stats, but they could all benefit from a little boost. By adding the Quality Enchant, you can add an extra 15% to three stats of the rod (Lure Speed, Luck, Resilience). |
Seasons Rod | Lucky | +20% Luck. A passable craftable rod, but not one of my top four. The Seasons Rod needs a boost in Lure Speed or Luck to match it's 0.03 Control. I'd go with the Lucky Enchantment. |
Steady Rod | Storming OR Breezed | +95% Luck during Rainy weather OR +65% Luck during Windy weather. It's fairly pointless to keep using this rod, but you can make it a decent rod again. Add the Storming or Breezed Enchant to give yourself a rod to use during bad weather, where plenty of rare fish are waiting to be caught. |
Stone Rod | Quality | +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience. I know a lot of these rods need a Quality boost but the Stone Rod desperately needs one. Its stats are laughable, and the only way to make the rod useable is by adding a Quality Enchantment, even if that wouldn't fix its max 900kg fish weight. |
Sunken Rod | Quality | +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience. Though there are many Enchants that you could add to this rod, the Quality Enchant gives it an overall boost instead of focusing on one aspect. |
The Lost Rod | Storming | +95% Luck during Rainy weather. The Lost Rod has one of the best control stats in the game at 0.08. Instead of trying to fix all the stats, give it a huge 95% Luck boost when it rains! |
Training Rod | Divine | +45% Luck. The Training Rod has a huge control bar, but its Luck stat is awful. You can't fix a -70% Luck stat with an Enchant, but you can save this rod between the Divine Enchant and bait with a good Luck stat. |
Trident Rod | Resilient | +35% Resilience. The Trident Rod desperately needs a Resilience boost to keep up with its 150% Luck stat. Without Resilience, you'll struggle against every rare fish you catch. |
Voyager Rod | Resilient | +35% Resilience. Voyager is another craftable rod with bad stats but the Quality Enchant can't save every rod. Go for the Resilient Enchantment to counterbalance its poor Control and Resilience. |
Wisdom Rod | Quality | +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience. The Wisdom Rod is just awful. Either save it with a Quality Enchant or just don't bother with it. |

Rod Enchantment Location in Fisch - Keepers Altar
You must reach the Statue of Sovereignty at night to find the rod enchantment location: the Keepers Altar. It's located in the mines below, so your first order of business is to find an elevator. To use it, you'll need the token that can be bought from the miner standing in front of the elevator for C$400. You'll need this token each time you want to reach Keeper's Altar.
