The St. Patrick's Day Update is live in Pet Simulator X! In this point-and-click farming experience, players can collect and use various currencies to unlock all kinds of fun pets, some of which are only available for a limited time. During the 2023 St. Patrick's Day event alone, tons of limited-edition, holiday-themed pets and eggs have been added, including the one we'll be detailing in this brief guide, the Pot of Gold Egg. Continue reading below to learn more about how to unlock this egg, what it costs, and what pets can be hatched from it.
How to unlock the Pot of Gold Egg in Pet Simulator X
Unlike most event-related eggs, the Pot of Gold Egg isn't locked behind quests or hidden in a secret room; it instead appears by chance. As you peruse through your Pet Simulator X server, you may notice an alert appear at the top of your screen that says "St. Patrick's Giant Rainbow Event! Get to the Pot of Gold!" It's estimated that this alert appears every four hours on the hour.
When this alert appears, drop what you're doing and head to the Shop biome of Spawn World as fast as you can. Upon arriving, you should notice a literal giant rainbow in front of you that extends above the tall apartment buildings.
Spread across this rainbow are a handful of chests that, when broken, will allow you continue across the path toward the Pot of Gold (Egg) on the other side.

When you've destroyed all the chests in your way (or, in our case, followed behind other people as they broke them), you can reach the secret St. Patrick's Day island!
On this island is the Pot of Gold Egg which can be purchased for five million Clover Coins and contains the following pets:
- Irish Corgi = 95% chance
- Clover Fairy = ??% chance
- Clover Axolotl = ??% chance
- Clover Unicorn = ??% chance
- Huge Leprechaun Cat = ??% chance
- Huge Clover Unicorn = ??% chance
- Huge Clover Dragon = ??% chance
If you're interested in adding any of these Pot of Gold pets to your collection, be sure to grind this egg sooner rather than later, as it will likely disappear after St. Patrick's Day on March 17, 2023!
