5 things to do to prepare for Anime Vanguards Update 1

The Anime Vanguards Update 1 is expected to be released on September 21st or 22nd, as per the leaks. If the timeline turns out to be accurate, you have a few hours left to grind in advance for the upcoming content.

Save Gems

First off, new banner units are always a big deal in updates. You’re going to want to stack up on gems because without them, you can’t summon the new characters. Aim for around 20K to 30K gems. With 20K, you’re guaranteed at least one pull at pity, and with more gems, you might snag two of the new mythics—assuming you don't get unlucky and pull off-banner.

Level up the battle pass

Got the battle pass? You should definitely grind some infinities to level it up quickly. Soloing these gives you a ton of battle pass XP too. Maxing it out is totally worth it because you’ll get 15 trait rolls if you’ve got the premium pass which you can eventually use to modify traits in the next update.

Farm Essence

You’ll want to farm a lot of essence before Update 1 arrives. Thankfully, some challenges can give you a free roll plus two essences in just 5-6 minutes, which is pretty great. I recommend doing these challenges, especially since they also give you greens which are super important for EVOs. Some challenges even offer a 40% chance for legendary drops.

Evolve your strongest units

I highly recommend evolving your strongest units before the update drops. You don’t want to be stuck with under-level units during the new content. This is also important because we don't know if this update will make the game more difficult, so it's always good to be prepared.

Redeem codes

Finally, you shouldn't miss out on the current Anime Vanguard active codes as they might become invalid once Update 1 arrives. You'll be surprised to know that all the current active codes can reward you with a whopping 11,550 Gems, 17x Trait Rerolls, 14x Super Stat Chips and 4,000 Gold.
