Base building is an essential survival mechanic of the Lone Survival game in Roblox. It allows you to claim your spot on the map without anyone interfering. In this guide, we'll provide you with tips on how to build the best base possible in the game, including tips on all the destruction levels for capturing bases. Here's the Lone Survival best base locations and buildings guide.
Best Base Locations in Lone Survival
Like in some of the best survival games on PC, knowing how to build a base in Lone Survival is just a part of a successful game, as it's just as important to know where to build one. Here's a short list of some of the best locations for base building in the game.
Scrapyard Location
Scrapyard, located in the northwestern part of the map at sectors D3-E3, is the most valuable location for building your base. There's a lot of free material lying around for you to pick up and experiment with your base designs as much as you want. Just be sure to follow the path from the beach down below to the top of the hill, or you'll end up missing it entirely.
Lighthouse Location
The Lighthouse is located at sectors C8-D8. It's recommended to build the base nearby but not exactly in the area of the Lighthouse. This is one of the most important landmarks in the game, as it includes a number of crucial pick-ups, including:
- 1 Bunker
- 1 Safe
- 1 Military Crate
- 4-6 Regular Crates
- 1 Key
Military Base Location
Military base landmark is located in the southern part of the map at sectors J12-K12. Although this location is full of loot, try to keep your base a bit further away, as there are bots spawning here. So it's worth checking out when you've got proper gear and weapons. Here, you'll find:
- 1 Component Dismantler
- 2 Military Crates
- 4 Regular Crates
- 1 Helipad
- 1 Alpha Crate (400 CR or 55 Robux)
There are a few other points of interest for building a base, but they may not be as suitable or safe in terms of bots and other enemy players:
- The airstrip at sector K8 has lots of military crates, but it is riddled with bots.
- Gas stations in sectors M3 and N10 have some useful materials, but not too much.
- A mysterious object at sector M9 is located in the snowy area, so be sure to craft warm clothes.
How to Build a Base in Lone Survival
Before you can start building your base, it's important to collect as much wood, stone, and other materials as possible. Then, you need to craft the Construction Tool for 15x Wood, which is basically a construction blueprint for building and upgrading your base's foundation. Then, follow these steps:
- Place your construction blueprint in the spot of your choice.
- Stand on top of the foundation and press the "E" key to open the base menu.
- Start by choosing the "Wall" option and place it around the foundation.
- If you wish to remove the wall, then choose the "Demolish" option in the "Upgrade" menu.
- Proceed by crafting and placing the "Base Claim" using 750x Wood to claim the land.
- Interact with the Base Claim to authorize your base.
- Craft and place at least one door using 250x Wood.
Note that doors are locked automatically as soon as you place them. Only you and your teammates will be able to open them once your base has been claimed. At this stage, you will have a base of your own, which can be further upgraded and fortified for better protection.
Building Rules in Lone Survival
Also, you must consider how building works in Lone Survival and how tools are used for specific purposes, including:
- Construction Tools can only build structures, but they cannot upgrade, delete, or rotate them.
- If you want to delete, rotate, or upgrade any part of your structure, then use the Hammer tool.
- Keylocks can only be opened by the person who placed them down.
- However, Padlocks can be opened by anyone if they know the password.
- If you place a wall or the floor, these elements become Twigs, so they must be upgraded to Wood.
