Paradox Shikai Tier List

Shikai refers to the first level of a Soul Reaper's weapon, known as a Zanpakuto, which undergoes a transformation to unlock unique abilities. In Roblox Paradox, Shikai so far has eight different moveset/abilities that are further divided into different rarities. Here's a quick look at their rankings:

  • S-Tier: Flower, Gravity, Rampage
  • A-Tier: Lightning, Blood
  • B-Tier: Fire, Shadow
  • C-Tier: Wind

S-Tier

  • Flower: Flower is a legendary Shikai in Paradox and is by far the best choice due to the combination of abilities it offers. Its Blossom ability is perfect for delaying an enemy's attack as it sends the opponent away with its pink tornado. If you're feeling a bit aggressive, you can use its Sakura Slash move which deals significant damage to the enemy in less than two seconds.
  • Gravity: Gravity is inarguably one of the most versatile and spam-friendly Shikais due to its quick attack. When you perform its Gravity Control move, your character thrusts forward and grabs the enemy while simultaneously launching them into the air and slamming them back down. I particularly recommend using its Gravity Pull in close combat to quickly bring enemies closer to you. This can turn the tide of the battle during critical situations.
  • Rampage: Rampage boasts the highest damage among all the Shikais in the game. It has three moves (Crusher, Rage and Meteor Crash) and all of them deal substantial damage. You'll find yourself using its Rage attack the most as it allows you to quickly finish off the enemy in a single blow.

A-Tier

  • Lightning Blood: Lightning has a higher drop rate compared to S-Tier Shikais and it's definitely a good pick for most players. This particular Shikai heavily relies on lightning attacks which are well-known for their massive damage. The best part is that it's hard for your opponents to dodge its moveset which leavs no room for escape.
  • Blood: Blood is one of the rarest and most lethal Shikais in Roblox Paradox. It excels in both damage and range and it's powerful enough to take out opponents with moves like Ending which sends out a blood dragon to slay your foes. However its abilities aren’t necessarily the best in the game as enemies can easily counter them using S-Tier moves.

B-Tier

  • Fire: Fire, as the name suggests, is primarily based on fire abilities. Although it's a decent option for many beginners, I wouldn't recommend using it at higher levels because of its sluggish attack speed. Specifically, its Incineration and Whirl moves are quite slow which makes it easy for opponents to dodge and counter.
  • Shadow: Shadow comes with a significant risk, especially during long-range combat. Its primary move, Eclipse, slashes the opponent with a sword which is undoubtedly a great move in close combat. However, I haven't found myself using it most of the time due to its limited range.

C-Tier

  • Wind: Wind is the Shikai you should avoid using at all costs due to its lack of powerful skills. Similar to B-Tier options, you can use it if you're just getting started but its damage isn't enough to dominate players with better Shikais. As a result, you won’t stand a chance against even an average player if you have Wind equipped.

Please note: The above tier list is based on the author's opinion. We highly encourage you to explore all the options and use the one you like the most.

How to get Shikai in Paradox

To get Shikai, you have to follow these steps:

  1. You need to get 75 potential and take the Shinigami exam.
  2. Then, you need to get 200 potential and meditate to clear a minigame.
  3. Finally, you have to defeat the boss and complete the Shikai obtainment.

How to get 75 potential and take the Shinigami exam

One of the best methods to farm potential in Paradox is by doing wave defense missions which basically requires you to parry and quickly defeat NPCs. Thankfully, parrying isn’t that hard because the game has a slower pace. If wave defense is difficult, try doing the Transport the Buyer quest instead. It’s even easier since you don’t have to deal with enemies. Just escort the NPC to the designated spot. Drop them off and you'll earn plenty of potential.

Once you have 75 potential, it’s time to find the professor. From the trainer, head straight and enter the classroom. Press ‘E’ to interact with the professor, who will guide you through the exam.

The answers are simple:

  • 13
  • Shikai
  • A Zanpakuto Spirit
  • Protect the living world from Hollows
  • Soul Society
  • Kisuke
  • Paradox
  • 2

Once you pass, your outfite will change as you've officially become a Shinigami.

After reaching 200 potential, you need to meditate. By pressing ‘N,’ you can start the meditation process. During this stage, a mini-game will pop up, where you press the corresponding numbers on your keyboard. Stage 1 is very simple, but Stage 2 is a bit more challenging which requires you to press two numbers simultaneously. It might take a few tries, but don’t worry! You can skip some parts without any penalty and you need at least 40 points to pass.

How to defeat the boss and unlock Shikai

After that, you’ll advance to Stage 3, where you’ll enter a boss room. You'll see a hallway that leads to your spirit. Interact with it and a boss fight will begin. You'll find the boss teleporting from one place to another most of the time which is why I'd recommend bringing high-damage abilities like Dynamic Strike and Phantom Thrust to deal substantial damage before the Shikai boss can even act. I was able to defeat this boss in less than two minutes and under 30 hits.

Once the boss is down, you’ll finally unlock Shikai. To activate it, simply press ‘V’ on your keyboard.
