Roblox GPO Fishing Guide – Baits, Fishes and more

Learn everything about the fishing mechanics in GPO!

GPO Update 11 has introduced a unique feature called fishing to the base game. Indicative of its name, players can now purchase fishing rods and capture a variety of fish in the game. So, if you need to learn how to capture your first fish or how to sell them, here is a dedicated guide explaining everything about fishing in Roblox.

To catch a fish in GPO, you will need a fishing rod. Currently, you can purchase a fishing rod from the fisherman in one of the following locations.

  • Shells Town
  • Desert Kingdom
  • Logue Town

Simply go to the dock area of these landmarks, and you will find a fisherman fishing over there. Go near them, and you can purchase both a fishing rod/bait from them. A common type of fishing rod costs around 50 Peli, while a single bait costs around 10 Peli.

How to catch a fish in Grand Piece Online

Once you have both a fishing rod and bait, the next step is actually to catch a fish in the game. Equip the fishing rod from your inventory to your hands and go near the sea. Now, select the bait and cast your rod in the ocean. Immediately, within five to six seconds, a fish will nibble your hook, and you have to reel in the fish within the next few seconds by playing the fishing mini-game. If you don't know how this works, it's pretty simple to learn.

After the mini-game starts, you will find two meters on the right side of the screen. The first meter will have a fish in it, and you have to keep the fish between the two blue bars by holding or releasing your primary interaction key. If the bar drops, release it, and if the bar rises, hold your button. Alternate between these two functions according to the situation. Keep doing that until you fill your second bar and catch the fish.

Also, there are no specific fishing locations in the game. You can stand and fish in almost every part of the map. Still, the talk around the community is to go to Rough Waters to get rare fish in the game.

After you have finished fishing, you can sell them to the Fish Buyer for Peli. The Fish Buyer NPC stands right next to the fisherman in the same dock area. The price of each fish depends upon the rarity. You can find the list of a few fish I caught during my gameplay time below.

  • Crimson Polka Puffer - 4320 Peli
  • Exotic Tigerfin - 3758 Peli
  • Blue Lip Grouper - 303 Peli
  • Tigerfin - 270 Peli

Types of Fishing Rods and Baits

As of now, there are three types of Fishing Rods and Baits in the game. I have mentioned each one of them below.

All Fishing Rods in GPO

  • Common Fishing Rod: You can purchase this rod from the fisherman for 50 Peli.
  • Rare Fishing Rod: You can craft the Rare from the Blacksmith NPC using x1 Common Fishing Rod and x20 Rare Fish.
  • Epic Fishing Rod: You can craft the Rare from the Blacksmith NPC using x1 Rare Fishing Rod and x15 Legendary Fish.
  • Legendary Fishing Rod: Unconfirmed.

All Fishing Baits in GPO

  • Common Fishing Bait: You can purchase this bait from 10 Peli from the fisherman or craft using any fish from the Blacksmith NPC.
  • Rare Fishing Bait: You can craft the Rare from the Blacksmith NPC using x1 Rare Fish.
  • Legendary Fishing Bait: You can craft the Rare from the Blacksmith NPC using x1 Legendary Fish.

If you are wondering where the Blacksmith NPC is, he is standing right near the dock area in Shells Town, as shown in the image.

How to get rare Fishes in GPO

The logic to getting better fish in GPO is to use better or, in other words, rare bait. The rare the bait is, the higher your chance of getting rare or legendary types of fish in the game. So, craft and use them if your intention is to make a lot of money through fishing!

How to get Sunken Armor and Weapon Set in GPO

The Sunken Armor and Weapon set can also be obtained via fishing in GPO. You simply have to increase your luck by using the best fishing rod and bait at your disposal. Something like the Legendary Fish Bait would be the best, along with an Epic Fishing Rod. For the location, the developers have themselves given a hint of traveling to the Rough Waters. So, go to this area and try your luck at getting a Sunken Armor + Weapon set in the game.
