In the latest update of Sol's RNG, the developers have added the fishing mechanics to the base game. This was one of the most requested features by the community over a long period, and introduces a new way of getting Auras in the game apart from rolling or crafting. So, if you are a returning or a completely new player, here is a detailed guide about the fishing mechanics in Sol's RNG to clear all your doubts.

How to fish in Sol's RNG

You can automatically start fishing in Sol's RNG by pressing the Fish button while standing adjacent to or near the Ocean area. The Ocean is present on all the edges or coastal regions of the map, and you will get an indication to fish as you reach the trigger line. Additionally, there is no requirement to craft a fishing rod or bait to catch fish.

Once you start fishing, you will see some dialogues on your screen, and then a reeling bar will appear. Similar to most games, just press your LMB to keep the white marker within the green line to catch the fish.

How to catch rare fish in Sol's RNG

In order to catch rare and high-rarity fish, you must try to fish in areas with the Normal or Hard difficulty tag. Yes, if you move along the coast of the map, you will find various locations with these tags. Simply fish in a corner with these tags to catch better fish with more weight.

As of now, there are 12 types of fish in Sol's RNG, and you can find them in the list below. You can also refer to your Fishdex to know all previously caught fish.

How to sell your fish in Sol's RNG

After catching some fish, you can always sell them to the Captain Flarg NPC on the southern side of the map. Take a right from Jake's Shop and walk straight to find the Fish Shop. Here, you can open your fishing inventory to sell the fish based on their rarity and weight for Fish Tokens, which is a newly added currency for selling fish. You can then use these Fish Tokens to buy exclusive items for you to use from the Fish Shop.
